“Ama would be a viral must go to in Mexico City. The fact it’s here in Philly is a gift. Ama never disappoints. The food is highly elevated Mexican cuisine. It’s like being in a Mexican family home and served the best of the best. My favorite is the Tuna Tostada. The swordfish tacos are elite. I highly recommend the Lamb Neck Birria. It’s so freaking good. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The owner and his wife are there most nights and run a beautiful, inviting restaurant.“

“No pictures because the food hit the table at home and we immediately forgot all about our phones 😂 On a whim I was craving fish tacos, searched Google, found La Ingrata and headed over. Let me tell you… absolutely worth it. The food was a solid 10/10. The taco pizza was unreal and the fish tacos were honestly to die for. Fresh, flavorful, and one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. We ordered takeout, and while we waited for our food, we sat down and ended up chatting with the family. The owners’ 4-year-old daughter came and sat next to us, and if you know me, you know I’m all about the kiddos. Holding her little pile of tip coins and her pack of stickers, we somehow got into conversations about trains, numbers, birthdays… and found out ours are one day apart. Clearly we vibed because Virgos do things like that 😂 The owners came over and talked with us about business, and as food truck owners ourselves, my boyfriend and I instantly connected with them. Beyond the amazing food was just a hardworking family trying to make it, just like the rest of us. Seeing the next generation sitting right there alongside their parents, learning and growing in the middle of it all, was really the icing on the cake for me. Support family businesses. Support people chasing dreams. And definitely go get those fish tacos.“

“My 1st time here Estavan greeted me with a smile and was very patient with me as I looked over the menu. Everything looked very fresh and he confirmed that the salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo ,and even the cilantro and onion mixture is made fresh daily .

He let me sample the birra chicken and from the 1st bite it was so delicious 😋!

I ordered a taco bowl 🥣 and you have to say this is BETTER THAN CHIPOTLE! NO SCIMPKING ON THE TOPPINGS.

“La Chingada was absolutely AMAZING. The food was spectacular — everything was full of flavor, fresh, and honestly one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience even better. He even gave us a free dessert that’s coming out this summer, and it was SO good. You can really tell they care about their customers and the quality of their food. This is definitely going to be my favorite restaurant from now on. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!“

“Found this place randomly when we searched for who has California burritos - wow have we been sleeping on Burrito Mix! If you go here - the Birria Pizza is a must order! So delicious and flavorful. The California burrito was also amazing, and the my husband said the flan was “elite”. Definitely will be returning. No photos because we were stuffing our faces.“

“@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! “This is a BYOB place so bring your own Modelo, Tres Agaves and Margaritas…they’ll give you cups of ice. The Esquite is the best street corn I’ve ever had at a restaurant and that’s my go to snack. My Mexican Wife’s corn is better but you understand. GET THE ESQUITE! We shared the ribeye fajitas and it was legit ribeye. We just moved from California and have been looking for a solid Mexican restaurant and we’ve found it. I have no clue why the rating is only 4.3.“

“I just happened to google taco spots near me. This place is .3 miles away. I walked in really nervous, not knowing how to order or what to order. I ordered the basics. 2 chicken tacos and 1 beef taco. It was quick and they were so GOOD! I went for myself, but ended up sharing with my husband because I was so full! I’ll definitely go back! “Im new to the area and I really wanted fried whole fish with rice and this place didn’t disappoint. I got the whole fried fish, yellow rice, pink beans, and avocado. They gave me many pieces of lime, everything was plated separately and in great portions and I also had avocado that was also a great quantity. The other place I use to go to would give me 2 small slices. The food was great I have zero complaints. They allowed me to substitute something from my platter with no problem at all. I ordered on the spot & while it did take about 30 minutes to make, I was ok with that. I rather my food be cooked fresh than for it to come out in 10 minutes like it was cooked in a microwave. Overall, I will be returning!“
