“My girlfriend and I went last night. On our way we stopped at the gas station adjacent to the restaurant. As I rolled down the window all I could smell is the exhaust from the grill and my stomach immediately started to grumble. Although we have been many many times, our go to is the combo plate of a half chicken and ribs. My girlfriend is not a fan of garlic. Sometimes the rice can be a little garlicky but everything there is delicious.“

“This place is a true gem, with a great vibe. Authentic cuisine and great drinks. The food was delicious, our server Kimani was great! Music was tasteful and not too loud. Decor was modern tropical. Highly recommended if you are in to Afro Carribean cuisine or you want to try something different.“

“We went to the Chateau 7/13 for our Granddaughter's birthday. I had mentioned it was her birthday. We had a delicious dinner with sangria. After dinner one of the waiters along with a waitress came over with a Birthday dessert w/candle and even sang Happy Birthday. After we finished the waiter Paulo came back with a glass of Port Wine to finish off the meal. He was very personable.“

“Best BBq for your buck, seasoning is on point. Only only bad thing is if your dining in, since there is no ac you will be very uncomfortable and sweat while you eat which no one wants. Foods amazing, staff is great, just too hot to dine in the summer. In the spring, fall, and winter it's chill just don't recommend eating there in the summer. Please go thought and get take out.

Parking: There's only a few, about 4 spots to park around the restaurant, if those are taken which usually are you must park blocks down the road.“

After seeing the reviews here and elsewhere, it was very clear we had to come here while we were in the area, and now we know why! We had never experienced Portuguese BBQ before, and holy moley, was it delicious!\n\nI had a lunch-sized chicken and pork ribs combo, and my wife had the lunch-sized chicken and beef ribs combo. All of the meat was absolutely sensational, well cooked, seasoned well, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The BBQ sauce that came with it was also tasty, but honestly we felt like we didn't even need it because the meat was so tender and juicy.\n\nThe fries and yellow rice were also very tasty.\n\nAnd even when you get the lunch-sized portions, you get TONS of food, like we both got more than enough for both lunch and dinner.\n\nThe gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal.\n\nI'm not sure when or if we'll be back in the Fords/Woodbridge area, but if we are, we will definitely put this on our "must do" list every time.“

“This is my first time eating Portuguese food and I must say that I had a very good experience with them. The flounder with the spanish rice and sauteed veggies were on point! I also had the chourito and camarno which is sausage and shrimp in a garlicky hot sauce which was divine! the espresso was a nice finish to the meal. I highly recommend trying it out. André our server was very nice and attentive and the chef and everyone cooked the food to perfection. Give Algarve a try!“

Would drive for miles to go there. And usually my first stop when arriving to Newark Airport. I suggest you call in your order ahead to avoid wait time. Limited self service seating, so takeout is preferable.“

“When I used to work in the Union area, one of our favorite stops for a hot meal was Burnet BBQ. Today I had work in Union again, remembered Burnet BBQ, but it turns out that store II was closer to my location. Turns out that the food is as great as the original, and lots of take out orders and constant rotation of customers showed lots of people agreed. Got the 1/2 ribs, which would fill up a truck driver, and the counter staff were very nice. Go there when you re really hungry, and see if you can finish all that food. Recommended“
