Built in 1937 and originally known as “Lookout Inn, my partner and I decided to stop at the State Line Lookout Cafe after a nice hike for a bite. This casual establishment is a throwback to yesteryear inside a nice stone cabin with fireplaces to warm up during cold weather and the only restaurant/cafe around in the nearby area.

I was greeted by the young staff. Their simple menu is a little diverse, from breakfast sandwiches, various burgers, and hot dogs...
Was in the area to hike over and saw this little cafe was open. Stopped in with the girlfriend for breakfast/ lunch and we were delightfully surprised how pleasant the service and food was.

We ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a bacon cheeseburger on a roll. Got a gatorade as well and bill came out to $17 which was actually pretty good. The fried egg was yummy and a little runny in a good way. The bacon on both sandwiches was perfectly done and...
Hidden gem alert big time!! Stateline lookout Cafe of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine is a must hit up. Food is basic but on point, prices are like 1990s. This eclectic rustic historic gem 💎 is a throwback to yesteryearl with really cool guys working it, music rocks and the views, trails and welll... up to you now. I've said enough. Dynamite!
