Sadly ... that piece of carrot cake barely made it to my car let alone back to my house! And you know what ... Not only was that carrot cake awesome, it was GLUTEN FREE. Now to put things into perspective for you all ... I own Ahrre's Coffee Roastery (Westfield & Summit) and -- way back in the 90's -- I owned the Common Ground Cafe in Summit. I have sampled cheese cake from countless commercial bakeries over the years. It was always my favorite type of cake and the ruler by which I judged the bakery. Taste Buddy is legit, folks! “Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. We also got a cheese and pesto savory pastry and a passion fruit and coconut tres leches dessert. Everything was delicious!!!!! Thanks for the enjoyable experience. We will definitely return.“

“Delicious food. Great service by Sydney! It started with amazing honey bread at the table. Flatbreads yum, especially the one with fig topping. Muscles, tuna tartare, noodle flush, brussel sprouts, calamari salad, and more! All yum! Would absolutely go there again. We had 8-10 people and the service was excellent.“

“My team had a lunch booked today and stepping into L’Allegria was a beautiful surprise. I booked the restaurant based on the menu and ratings, plus parking looked easy. Without planning it we had a private room where we could celebrate the departure of one of our colleagues. Alana took great care of us and the food was delicious and well executed. Temperatures were perfect on the food too. The zucchini blossoms and homemade gnocchi were the best I’ve had in YEARS. The chef and restaurant team are to be commended. The Arancine (rice balls) are excellent. Good quiche and great pastries. The owner is very nice and lived in Sicily.
