The staff is very knowledgeable if you are unsure of the homemade pasta types or want to try something different on the menu. All of the food is delicious and appealing to the senses. “It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. “This place is excellent. Keep in mind its cash only, with an ATM located inside. My first time there was sort of forced, when i was younger i was not open to different food like this. Now i find myself at this establishment multiple times a month. This time i had the saint patty day special. Corned beef with cabbage, and potato soup. Very good. Also tried the brat salad (i think it was called) which is german bologna with tomatos, onions, and maybe cucumber. It was extremely good. The kartoffelpuffers (potato pancakes) are amazing, the spatzel (fried german noodles) are my favorite. And the beef stew is like no other. Ive never had anything bad off this menu. The desserts are great as well.“

“First time dining at Spigola's and it was terrific. Surprised to find a wonderful full service bar in a restaurant located among strip stores. Usually strip store restaurants are B.Y.O.B. Menu is quite varied and was accompanied by a special menu. My wife and I opted for entrees on the special menu which were superb. I love Halibut and it was prepared exquisitely. Dining experience deserved the five stars given. Our service was spot on.“

“We've been here a few times and have had a great experience across the board. The food is delicious and at a great price. Our favorites are the BBQ ribs, wings, and coleslaw/potato salad. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is a little lack luster but most people order take out and don't typically eat in. Regardless, we love the food and have had great experiences. For instance, when there making sandwiches, they go from making one sandwiche right to the next without changing their gloves. Also not putting paper down before making your sandwich. “My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Tavern on the Lake for Hightstown, our 150th town.

Great eats and comfort food in a place that is at the center of the town. They have a fantastic beer selection on draft that rotates over time. For the fall season, we had a Hot Toddy and Spiked Cider. The French dip sandwich and crab cakes were great.

When there's warmer weather, they have a great outdoor patio too!“

It felt very authentic to a family run restaurant. The food and drink was good and reasonably priced. Others have mentioned credit cards. Cash is preferred, but they do accept cards. However using a card adds a small fee to the bill. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, and would stop in again, if in the area.“

“Stopped in for lunch and the house was full of Soldiers and Airmen. Clearly a local favorite. Yes they offer a military discount. I had the good fortune of trying brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, chili, and roasted brussel sprouts. Literally everything was great. Just order the food at the counter and pay then they deliver it to your table. Clean efficient and again so worth the price even without a discount. I would definitely go here again.“
