To start off let me just say that Asim and his staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and they know how to pump out some serious food. Make sure you have a little downtime after eating your meal because the food coma is real with this place. The menu has something for everybody, and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or if you’re just passing through town. True definition of a local gem!”

“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. “Huge shoutout to Angelo’s tonight. Only wish I would’ve remembered my server’s name, to give her extra recognition here. We went out for an important dinner tonight. We were celebrating something small, but meaningful. When we called they had no reservations available for the evening, but then called us back and squeezed us in at 4:30. The power went out in the entire city after we were served our first course. We were served our entrees in the dark, with the same elegance, as of nothing had occurred. Even with the unfortunate circumstances, we were treated like royalty by the entire staff, and had an exceptional dining experience. I will be dreaming of the escarole, until I have it again. If you want great authentic food - this is your place. The portion sizes are large enough that I usually bring some of my meal home to enjoy the next day and I'm a big eater.”

We’ve been visiting Dosa Grill for years, and their food always satisfies our craving for comforting South Indian soul food. But today, it was their kindness that left the biggest impression.

The staff surprised an elderly couple, longtime customers celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary, with a cake and balloons. The couple, who were dining by themselves, were overwhelmed and kept saying that no one had ever acknowledged and surprised them quite like this in their entire lives.

It was so heartwarming to witness such a thoughtful gesture. Moments like these remind us that behind a restaurant are people with truly good hearts. One more reason to keep coming back to Dosa Grill!”

“Went to Mission BBQ at Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, NJ on a Friday about 4 pm. Not many people there but more came in as we were eating. We were greeted as we came in. Guy behind the counter was patient with us as we decided what to order. We ordered barbecued shrimp (8 pieces in the order) and salmon ( a nice sized portion). We also ordered a salad to share (nice sized portion). Food came quickly and we really enjoyed it. A server named Justice was in the dining room and was very attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed it and plan to return.”

Le Dish that will have me coming back are the calamari and sushi since they were the best thing I've had in a long time! The calamari isn't the typical one, they were strips rather than rings and it tasted like they used wonton strips as their breading. The sushi stayed together and hit every element (salty, fresh, & crunchy). Definitely will be coming back with friends and family.”
