We especially love the chicken gyro, meat gyro, all the kebabs, and their appetizers and salads. Their soups are also very healthy and flavorful – definitely a must-try! The place is very clean, the staff is professional, and the service is excellent. On top of that, the prices are very fair and affordable for the quality you get. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. “Over the past few years there has been a big influx of Uzbek resteraunts in Northeast Philly. Barakat keeps their menu short and simple and because of this they are able to maintain high quality. I've been here twice and both times they exceeded my expectations. They have one of the best shawarma wraps in all of Philadelphia, it's made fresh off the spick and they fill up a wrap with lots of meat. I also love their samsa and their soups are also very popular. If you are coming here for the first time I recommend getting the Lavash Wrap (Shawarma) and the Samsa, you will not be disappointed.“

It was ok but had a different taste than what I remember. No fault of theirs. Maybe I was just used to the cart location I previously frequented. Didnt really like the location. “TRUST ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! I have passed by this place on my way to work and back home again everyday for as long as it's been open. For whatever reason I never decided to stop. I pulled up around 8:30pm which is just a half hour until they close and had no issue getting served. I got the lamb over rice and it was absolutely amazing. The white sauce is soooooo good. The man running the place seemed like a nice guy too. I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but this food was so good that I felt it necessary to leave one. I can say for certain that I will now be a regular here. Enjoy!“
