“My first French cuisine experience did not disappoint. My son and I enjoyed a lovely meal and cocktails orchestrated by the best staff - Chef Clay, Beau (our server), and Alex(Bartender). From the first course I knew this was going to be one of, if not the best, dining experiences thus far in my lifetime. I highly recommend that everyone take the time to enjoy this fine dining establishment. You will not be disappointed.“

“Really cute charming space close to everything. Walked here from rittenhouse in a few minutes to catch a negroni on top and some amazing wine. Simple clean selection of incredible spirits especially this super rare Norden Aquavit seasonal! We shared a charcuterie board and something else I can remember but everything was excellent perfect place to start or end the night for us. I think there was an upstairs with more seating and even some two tops outside. Caught a really great sunset while we finished some wine and snacks before venturing out. I think the negroni was on tap and it was delicious.“

“Side door entrance up a flight of stairs to a super chill wine bar that sits above its parent The Good King Tavern. Enthusiastic bartenders with solid recommendations. The only negative for this being a wine bar is, despite the rather robust wine bottle list, the selection of wine by the glass is limiting. Just 7 total.“

“This was me and my fiances first time at City Winery. We were greeted by the Hostess Susan who was very informative of upcoming promotions and she even offered a tour of the establishment. The wait was not long as we were seated pretty quickly. The service was phenomenal the server Cel was welcoming and had me and my fiancé laughing and enjoying ourselves from the moment we were seated. Cel made several suggestions on food as well as drinks. During the visit we learned that Cel is a bartender as well and invited us to come back which we will. The Braised Short Rib was flavorful and was a rather large portion. My fiancé had the Branzino he loved it and was ready to order one to go. Will recommend this place to all of our friends and family. We will be back for the Vivian Green show in May.“

“Not kidding. Our table of 4 ordered nearly everything in the menu. Each bite was delicious, balanced, nuanced, worldly, fresh, and inventive. We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. “I was looking to see if Rose garden has a take out option, I see all of these bad reviews. The many times I’ve been here, the food, drinks, and the service was AMAZING!!!! I HATE lamb, but My friend made me take a bite of the lamb chop! OMG it was so full of flavor!!! Crab cakes, shrimp & grits, chicken wings, sweet potato fries, omg the Brussel sprouts are FINGER LICKING GOODT!!!! Don’t let me get started on how delicious the drinks are! My experience each and every time has been an exceptional one!“

The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

“I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we had a great experience. The ambience was nice, the staff was friendly, our waitress was attentive and the food was good. The manager Timothy Fisher stopped by our table twice to check on us and as we were on our way out, he ran up the stairs to hand us my girlfriend's purse which was left at our table. “Incredible experience. Great location, vibe, service, staff, interior, drinks and food. We made reservations in advance good thing as around 6pm on a Monday it started to get a little lively. We started with two cocktails the new class same teacher? And the poor Helen. Both nice little riffs on classic cocktails. The same teacher was top notch. For starter we had the chicken Milanese which was outstanding. Then we split a fennel and sausage pie. I finished with a neat averna. I wish I had more room for dessert. Most importantly the entire evening was made effortlessly cool by the entire staff. From being greeted to being sat. The server especially the server was on top of everything and a real pleasure to chat up. All the food came out promptly and anytime we were low on something , someone was there to check in on us. Even tho it was getting quite busy everyone had cool composure and kept things moving pleasantly. We will be back in the spring can’t wait to come on an off hour and more hungry to spend more time here. Thanks to everyone working the Monday before new years we had a great night out.“

We were sat next to a large work group - it was fine - but it was a birthday celebration for my husband - just the 2 of us - and it was a little noisy. I should have asked for a quiet corner. All in all, capital grill is our favorite restaurant- top notch.“

The food was delicious, grand seafood plateau was generous, oysters were incredible, the fish N'duja was out of this world as was the tiradido. “Caeser like salad” is something I'll dream about having again. Fried oyster BLT was a treat that took me on a visit to the Gulf coast. Dessert- what a perfect end- it was a banana coconut something and blew my mind. “I went to Jet Wine bar for a Halloween movie night with a friend. They were understaffed but they still went above and beyond to take care of us. Food and drinks were excellent. We watched the movie inside even though they were only serving outside. It was so kind and really an unnecessary accommodation they made for us to enjoy our time there. I'll definitely be going back!

“The vegan sandwiches and fries are the stars here. The seitan “bites” are fried so hard I was worried I would crack a tooth!! Definitely the least-edible seitan wings in the city. The mushroom cutlet sandwich was great, I will come back for that. Everything was extremely over-salted (and I love salty), so it’s either a case of a heavy hand that day or the salting bowls hadn’t been changed that night.“
