“My husband and I first heard about this place from King Schratz and I’m so glad we did!

Yes, like others have mentioned, it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. The food is consistently delicious and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband loves their tacos and burrito, and I’m a big fan of their elotes, tacos and taco bowls. Even my 79-year-old mother, who normally isn’t a fan of Mexican food, loves theirs. That alone says a lot!

Their tres leches is also incredible. I’ve sampled a lot of tres leches cakes in my life and theirs easily jumped to the top of my list.

Beyond the food, the customer service is just as impressive. Two of the owners, Jay and Kike, are always so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They even offer delivery, and their driver, Juan, is just as awesome! In this day and age, it’s rare to find a Mexican spot that’s both authentic and Latino-owned... and Just Tacos is exactly that. We’re more than happy to keep supporting them!“

“Very delicious food. Stopped by in the evening looking for a quick bite. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the al pastor which are my two favorite types of tacos. Both tasted really great, however the al pastor had a much better flavor overall.
I also tried the chips and salsa. Chips tasted like they are fried in house (in a good way) I didn't love the salsa too much. The texture and flavor was a little off for me. Maybe there are beans blended in? Not worth docking a star for this because overall I really enjoyed my meal and will be back again.
Atmosphere is very nice as well. The decor is welcoming and the staff was really friendly as well.“

Friendly greeting when we walked in, quick table service and the food is fresh and very flavorful! We each had Quesadilla's de Carne Asada (Steak) - and the serving sizes were big, we each only ate half and too the rest home.

“Our first time going to the Totowa location (met up with friends for lunch). Staff was very friendly and helpful - we decided to eat outside and they brought the food to us quickly. We had the tacos, regular bowl with carnitas and fajita bowl with steak and pina-mango drink. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will come back to try El Pastor. Definitely recommend Sombrero Tacoria.“

“Everything here is SO FRESH. I came here with my family of 5 and all of our dishes were extraordinary. Everything came out piping hot and very delicious. We ordered the guacamole, shrimp with garlic sauce, mixed fajitas, chicken burritos and breaded chicken and breaded fish filet. The hot, fresh churros with chocolate sauce at the end were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth divine. We would definitely come here again. 5 stars!“

“I live in the area and love trying out local restaurants, Taquerua La Casita did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, wel lit and busy. Its a small place, but small places tend to be masters of their craft. I got two orders of tacos, tacos al pastor and tacos de costilla (recommended by the employee working he counter). Both were great, fresh and bold flavors. The pastor came with a slice of pineapple on top which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the Verde sauce that came with the order. Everything was very fresh & obviously cooked for the order (not in advance ) Nachos & Guacamole are great starters. “I grew up in Texas and enjoyed this authentic beef taco bowl for a casual and affordable dinner in Newark. The owner and staff clearly put their hearts into each ingredient in the bowl which comes together as a Tex-Mex festival of flavors.

Kid-friendliness: Saw a mother and daughter there. Lots of teenagers were eating there as well.“

“Great authentic Mexican restaurant. My favorite is the shrimp à la Mexicans with rice and refried beans. Shrimp are usually a nice size and seem to be fresh. Love that the sauce is freshly made. My family usually orders the chicken quesadilla, shrimp or pork burrito, tamales de carnitas just to list a few. This is truly a weekly go to spot for us.“
