“We came for a late dinner on the evening of 3/26 and it was our first time there since it changed hands and reopened as South Star diner.We both ordered seafood/pasta dishes and were highly impressed!!! The food and portion sizes were very good, from the Caesar salads to the entrees to the bread basket and to dessert (which we took to go).The diner is very clean and has a welcoming nostalgic charm when you walk in with a beautiful display of various cakes. It looks, smells, and feels like everything a diner should be. We were immediately seated and asked our drink orders, and our main order taken within minutes. Very pleasant and relaxed experience — did not feel rushed like you do at some dining establishments. Overall everything was outstanding without a single complaint.I’d also like to underscore HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO FINALLY HAVE SOMETHING OPEN 24 HOURS!!!! Thank you! “For us, this is the “Year of the Diner” and the Mayfair did not disappoint. It is a large diner with the usual diner fare. Our waitress was great! Friendly and accommodating to our requests. The food was good, served quickly. The shredded potatoes with crunchy edges were a surprise. The diner is accessible, with wide isles, plenty of open tables and roomy booths. The staff sang happy birthday to a 5 year old behind us. Very sweet. Lots of families. The spaces in the parking lot are on the small side, so cars are very close to each other, making it difficult to get in/out of the car doors. There is also street parking right in front of the diner.“

“It was our first time there. The server was friendly and came frequently to check up on us, even though he was tied up to another bigger group who had a birthday celebration. Paying was smooth, because everything was in a handheld device. The food portions were huge. I ended up taking my half of the meal home. It was delicious! Anyway the Sunrise Diner was great I had a simple 3 egg breakfast with home fries and sausage and bacon. My wife had chicken pot pie it looked great golden brown flaky and filled with lots of chicken and veggies and gravy. Came out quick hot and cooked perfectly the service was excellent couldn't ask for better. Oh very good coffee. I highly recommend the Sunrise Diner for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. “Not crazy about Jakes in Newtown therefore I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the Richboro location as much as I did. Service was right on. Pleasant, friendly and efficient...just what good services is all about. My feta omelette was cooked perfectly and quite good. The restaurant is larger in the inside than what it looks like from the outside. Three rooms with a bar in the 3rd room. Lots of comfortable booths. Looks like it could use some modernizing but still comfy and clean. I think of Jakes as a breakfast restaurant so I was surprised to see a full bar and open till 10pm. For a "breakfast" restaurant I give it 4.5 stars...rounding it up to 5.“

“Hi! After a hard day of work my dear friend Merkaba and I had a monster feast in the Club House Diner! He had his usual epic tuna club yum yum yum in the tum tum tum! I had 2 whitefish platters! I was very hungry! Fortunately we had Stephanie as our waitress! She's a real sweetheart, real efficient and very kind! Surprisedly we both have worked in professional toast management! I truly think her chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate morsels whipped cream super milkshake quite possibly is the cure for World Peace! “Diners are changing but I have to say the food and value was still very well here.The place I felt was just a little too busy and there were too many old people that were crabby for my liking. Normally I don't get dinner at 5 but I did. This place has a very large older crowd.Besides that the service was great and the place handled the traffic very well.
