About Sawan Indian Cuisine by Foodie Adda

Sawan Indian Cuisine offers a flavorful and authentic Indian dining experience, especially known for its South Indian dishes. Under new management, the restaurant has improved significantly, with fresh, tasty food and friendly service. Visitors appreciate the flavorful biryani, with the Special Chicken Dum Biryani standing out as a must-try for biryani lovers. The dishes are aromatic, layered with tender meat and fragrant spices, offering a satisfying and authentic taste. The dosas, including Rameshwaram dosa and Karivapaku Karam dosa, are crispy on the outside and soft inside, served with hearty sambar and flavorful chutneys. The idly is fresh and soft, complementing the spice-rich dishes. Many reviews highlight the Butter Chicken and Paneer Butter Masala as rich, creamy, and packed with authentic flavors, paired well with garlic naans. Desserts like Gulab Jamun provide a sweet, soft finish to the meal. The lunch buffet offers a variety of delicious options at a budget-friendly price, with some discounts available on weeknights. Portions are generous, and the food is spicier than before, reflecting South Indian cuisine, so ordering mild options is recommended for sensitive palates. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making diners feel comfortable. Overall, Sawan Indian Cuisine is a solid choice for anyone seeking tasty, authentic Indian food at reasonable prices, with many customers planning to return for another meal.

Sawan is under new management, and the food tastes better. I tried their lunch buffet, and it improved significantly. I will definitely be back.

Visited recently, and I’m really glad I tried this place. If you enjoy Indian food, especially South Indian dishes, this spot is definitely worth visiting.

The biryani was the highlight for me — flavorful, great spice balance, and perfectly cooked. The dosas and idly were fresh and soft, and tasted just like something you’d get at a good local spot in India.
