Lots of Italian restaurants in South Jersey, but Allora stands out. The fact that it is combined with Nene has taken it to another level with the ability to order woodfired pizzas and have a really bright open beautiful dining experience. First you are given bread that comes out of that wood fire oven, some with tomato sauce on them and served with their homemade basil aïoli. Food is delicious. BYOB. Had the tasting menu and it was priced right and had a generous portion. Maria is the best server. Very fun and attentive.
My husband and I both enjoyed the Jersey Fresh Tasting menu. Our choices included the watermelon crudo with burrata, pistachios and Calabrian pepper honey, sausage with plums, shrimp scampi with Jersey corn risotto, pork loin with peaches and bourbon glaze and peaches and cream for dessert. Everything we ordered was amazing and the service was fantastic. Our server (I think her name was Marie) went above and beyond. We will be back soon!
