House Manager monitoring the floor speaks of days gone by…unfortunately. A “Fine Dining” establishment should necessarily have such a person present. Food: Good to Very Good. Service: Exceptional on 5/8/25 (Carey ?). Noise Level: Deafening due to vaulted ceiling and tables being so close together. Lacks privacy. You’re part of your neighbor’s conversation whether you want to be…or not. Overall: By far one of, if not The Best Restaurant in the area. If only they could work on the acoustics. “I am very pleased every time I’ve come here in the last few months. We get seated right away and the food comes out pretty quickly. However, the five stars really goes for the people that work there. They are so friendly which is saying much now a days in the restaurant industry. They have a great attitude, very respectful and just seem to enjoy working together. Keep it Hamilton Applebees team!!!“

“First time going there and I loved it. Only thing was Canadian bacon was a little overcooked. Place was clean and cozy. Reminds me of a truck stop which I suggested to a nearby customer. Alana was amazing and patient. Love the prices and the hospitality. I also like the slot machines even though I lost ?. The French toast was filling and plentiful. I will definitely will return. Friendly when you come in.. prices are pretty good. The chicken was fried crispy and moist. Wasn't dry at all. Chicken seasoned to perfection!
And the French Fries was delicious ?

“This place is excellent. Keep in mind its cash only, with an ATM located inside. My first time there was sort of forced, when i was younger i was not open to different food like this. Now i find myself at this establishment multiple times a month. This time i had the saint patty day special. Corned beef with cabbage, and potato soup. Very good. Also tried the brat salad (i think it was called) which is german bologna with tomatos, onions, and maybe cucumber. It was extremely good. The kartoffelpuffers (potato pancakes) are amazing, the spatzel (fried german noodles) are my favorite. And the beef stew is like no other. Ive never had anything bad off this menu. The desserts are great as well.“

“This unassuming cafe is on the lower level of the Carteret Arms apartments. The residence is a place for the elderly and thus the hours are a bit wonky. Provided you want a meal before 6pm, this should be a go-to spot. \n\nEverything is delicious. They lean towards fried foods, but have a great selection of seafood dishes and grilled options. Neighborhood favorites include the island pasta, which is close to divine. \n\nOn this visit we tried the grilled chicken sandwich and the blackened sandwich, both of which hit the spot. Good greens and cabbage, too. The owner makes homemade desserts. There are a variety of soft drinks and it is otherwise BYOB. \n\nThere is a small area for dining if you want to eat in.“

“The Pines is our favorite place to land after work, or weekday lunch, or game day! The food is fantastic and the excellent servers make every visit that much more fun. Occasional live music is a bonus!“

“Wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Seafood tower the best part of this $300 meal for 3. Their mussels were good, but had better. Their red fish was delicious. Their keylime pie went in the garbage. Our salads came after the meal, Ceasars with bread crumbs no croutons and definitely no anchovy, which i find odd for a seafood place. I dine out quite a bit, this was mediocre at best. Wont be going back. Would consider it if they had a liquor license just for the tower.“

“We were there last night for dinner and to see the band. What a pleasant experience ! Upon driving up didn’t know what to expect, our first time there. Friendly staff all around beginning with receptionist who gave us a little tour of the layout. Our server was so busy very pleasant and attentive, food was excellent, high quality and delicious. After dinner went to the outside bar where the band was performing. Again very pleasant and attentive servers. If you’ve been there you know, if not make plans to go. Thank you Union House for a very pleasant evening.“

“Was checking my out for a possible birthday party location and found the manager and staff to be very helpful and accommodating. The space is ample and the golf course looked great. I'd gone over earlier in the day and arrived as a post-golf tournament banquet was getting underway. If the smell of the food being served was a good indicator. It must be delicious. Will be returning this week to test/taste that theory out!“

“The food was great! They serve large portions with their homemade cheese bread and cinnamon bread! Prices are reasonable. Our waiter Cesar handled our table of 9, including 3 young children with ease. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!“

“Under new management but still welcoming! My family has been patronizing Kasdon’s since 1972. We have never been disappointed w/ the menu, staff or atmosphere. [Love the staff] It’s still our go to place when we’re looking for a comfortable place for a bite or takeout. [Try the pizza] Even though it is under new management it still has maintained that atmosphere that makes you feel welcome anytime you walk in.“

“Nubia (manager) and her staff are lovely and the flavors/variety are impressive! It’s great to have a place like this on campus - a nice mix of faculty/staff and students use this for lunch. It’s a mix of buffet style with a formal dining room experience (wait staff for drinks and busking the tables). Nubia really makes you feel at home! Go check it out. All for about $10!“

“This was our first visit to the Brookwood Café. It is absolutely amazing. We spoke to one of the owners and she was so kind enough to let us sample the soup. Food is excellent! So happy we found this little gem.“

“Wasn’t a fan of the establishment under previous ownership. Went to today for breakfast knowing it was redone with the new owners. WOWZA! So much cleaner! Nothing was sticky or filthy! Pricing seems fair (even with add-ons), and food was tasty. however the bussers (is that what they are still called??) were FABULOUS. The young lady was great to know when I said a child was in the mix she just brought coloring items, and the young man was always making sure to refill coffee or clear dirty dishes. Looking forward to going back to try lunch and enjoying more breakfast noms in the future!“
