What I don’t like is nearly every time a reviewer leaves anything other than a 5 (or 4) star review, the owners respond in what I would characterize as an argumentative and confrontational manner.

“I was hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail, and some other hikers told me of this place. I was so hungry and when I got there the food smells were so good, I had to stop. I had my dog with me but the owner had no problems with me tying the dog out back where there are picnic tables while I ordered. The owner loves dogs and is very friendly to both the dog and I. The food was delicious and the portions so large that I was full before I even finished my lunch. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good service, good food and a caring restaurant owner. Thanks Mo and crew!”

“Great little place. I’m glad these places exist. This is real food. Bread here is real, like the way it was meant to be made originally. Put it in the fridge to last longer. The bread here doesn’t have all the chemicals in it to last for months on the shelf.”

“Just used cafe Pierrot to cater a sprinkle I was hosting. Everything was amazing! Placing the order was extremely easy- I sent an email and someone called me right away and quickly responded to any email questions I had. Everyone enjoyed the food and LOVED the cupcakes. Was able to pay in advance online so all I had to do was send someone for pick up the day of the party and everything was ready right away I think food is one of the hardest parts of planning a party. Never know what to get or how much. Being able to simply give them a number of guests and all I had to do was decide which type of salad I wanted, made this part of the party so simple and stress free! Love the one stop shopping aspect where I could get my food, sides, and even cupcakes all from one place. The spread they provide is the perfect mix and they provide the perfect amount, for an awesome price! Definitely recommend using them!!!”

“Oh my goodness I can never say enough great things about this very special place! The menu is always changing & updated with new dishes! The food is fresh right from the farm. The market place is cute & always has plenty of yummy desserts! Try their frozen take home pizza. I bought the Marguerite one and it was delicious.”

“This place was a diamond in the rough. What a great find. My wife wanted to sit outside by a lake and eat comfort food and Mountain House Tavern and Grill did not disappoint. And, major added plus, service was great and our server, Alicia, was exceptional on a busy Saturday night. Oh, and dog friendly with a Pup Food menu.”

Thought it would be good for you to have a list of your bagel flavors on your website so that we could know what flavors to order, changing the list for seasonal, and new flavors added or deleted. I thought I had one from you but could not find it. Just a thought. But whatever you decide, keep those delicious bagels baking. Thank you.”

Upon entering there was a beautiful Christmas tree.
Nice and spacious. Pleasant staff.
I had toasted bagel with Lox. Very good I should say the way the plate was decorated looked very appealing.

“On Friday, I came across an article that this was voted number one in Sussex County New Jersey. I was intrigued. I love Pizza so much; unfortunately, for many years I had no desire going out for pizza because everywhere I went It was terrible. I’m born and raised in Milford, PA in Pike county. I fell in love with L&B’s in Brooklyn; but it’s been 17 years since I’ve been there last. Friday night I ordered the presto pizza two slices of it, and I fell in love after the first bite. The waitress and I’m sorry I forgot her name asked me what I thought and I loved it. It was incredible. My mission now is to try every pizza on the menu. That’s my goal finishing out 2025 into 2026 thank you thank you thank you. You have gained new customers, my husband and I. 💚🤍❤️”

“My husband and I just stopped here after having some lunch in Sparta and were so pleased with not only the ice cream quality here but the service! We had the nicest kid wait on us that was genuinely happy to be working with the public and went above and beyond what is called for. “Grabbed both breakfast (BEC PK) on a roll and then lunch (Sausage, Peppers and Onions) today, both were great. The breakfast sandwich was layered perfectly between the meat, 3 eggs and cheese that it came with. It wasn’t greasy and it also wasn’t falling apart when you were eating it. The Sausage, Peppers and Onions sub came on some really fresh bread, had a ton of flavoring and again, not greasy. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area and want to try something delicious on the go.”
