“For Valentine's Day weekend, my wife and I dined at the historical and exquisite Knife & Fork Inn on Friday, 2.13.26, since the 14th was totally booked. It was her first time there and mine since childhood. The menu was so extensive that it made it a bit of a welcoming challenge to focus on a particular choice. For starters, our huge portion of the Corn & Crab Chowder was the best that we have ever had and the Artisanal Cheese Plate was delectably wide-ranging. My wife loved the Halibut and my Bone-In Pork Chop was superb. Our cordial and diligent waiter, Carmen, who took service to the next level, suggested the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and we were very glad that he did as it was perfectly sized to share! Before we arrived, I mentioned to my wife that this would be a top dining experience and it was more than that with the historical ambiance, service and the spectacular menu options. We will definitely be back to try some more of their varied cuisine!“

“Visiting Atlantic City for the first time and was thrilled to not only find vegan options, but fun vacation food at that! He had the cheezsteak (oh that roll was SO soft and yummy) and I had the gyro. The staff were so gracious- making sure I had extra tzaziki sauce (even though my ticket and receipt both said it was on the gyro and I hadnt looked at it!). We got the brownie, made by Greystone Bakery that employs people who have had hiring challenges. It was so good we ordered more food to take back to where we are staying. Definitely recommend if looking to grab plant-based breakfast or lunch!“

“Since I cannot cook right now, my Chef friend Amy Phillips Manzione from Stir It Up in Northfield has been providing our meals. She changes her menus weekly and the food is delicious. From Citrus Salmon to sweet potato burgers, lentil loaf, beef gyro, eggplant dishes, turkey burgers and chicken spinach meatballs-the entrees are delicious, healthy and a lot of gf and vegan items, which is rare in this area. Her side offerings are amazing-sweet potato wedges, blue cheese slaw, jicama citrus salad, aloo potatoes and blueberry protein bars. The desserts are perfection, from the mini key lime pies(mom’s favorite) to the peanut butter cookies, which are so good I only order one at a time…. She also does special holiday menus So, if you are in the area, or driving through on your way to the beach, stop in and pick up a great meal! And I need to tell you how we met…. Just a few months into the pandemic, I had a 3 day gig in AC. After the first night. I was feeling awful enough to go to the ER. I didn’t expect to be kept overnight for testing. I didn’t know Amy, I had only been in her shop once. I decided to call to randomly see if she could cover my gig-explaining the situation. She accepted without hesitation and then would not let me pay her for jumping in. I was blown away. Because, who does that? She didn’t know anything about me. So, in addition to her talent as a Chef, she is an incredible human 💕💕“

“My favorite pho restaurant! Seriously, idk what they do with their broth but it’s simply addictive. It is insanely comforting and flavorful. Beef pho is my favorite and I also love their spring rolls. I have both dined in and taken out the food and have been extremely happy each time. I commend them on how they package to-go orders because I have a far drive home and it was packed in the most thoughtful way possible so that I was able to reheat the broth and not overcook the noodles or meat because it was all packed separate. The servers are always super kind and willing to explain anything on the menu. I highly recommend trying pho life if you haven’t already!“

Today we ventured to Egg Harbor Township and the Shop Rite Shopping center to find a local spot to have a fabulous lunch & voila we actually found THE Local Spot Restaurant! A Breakfast & lunch haven open from 8 am to 3 pm everyday of the week! As we ventured in we see booths and a welcoming counter and in the back many more spacious tables. Joining yours truly today was my travelling companion always my Nan and her cousin Theresa. We get Nicole a very engaging young lady who would be our server today and then we also met Danielle and we were doubly happy! Great young ladies who did not just robot the order they were informative, enjoyed the banter and actually were both a breath of fresh air from the normal may I help you no personality people many of you have said to me you are not happy with! It's always nice to smile when greeting your customers! I started off with the lentil soup and the ladies had the appetizer sampler with Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks & Jalapeno Peppers. Lunch was the Corned Beef Grilled Reuben, Grilled Chicken Gyro and for yours truly it was the Big Boy Cheese Steak with Fried Onions & Peppers! We gave the meals six thumbs up! We also gave our servers a standing ovation. And they are so easy to find. Heading east on the black horse pike you'll see the shopping center entrance just past the Burger King. Turn right and go to the end of the road & it's right in front of you! Find a place to park, walk in and get ready for a great breakfast or lunch. We all had to get boxes as the portions were to say the least generous. We met Steve at the main window and he's handling the abundance of take out orders and if you want to join in for a take out call 609-568-5197 but the recommendation here is you make time to visit not just a local spot but THE Local Spot in EHT and ask for Nicole or Danielle. It was a great time had by all of us and as we left they even reached out to say goodbye and in todays culinary world that's not the norm. Total for a tremendous lunch for three right about $50. “We were 10 and got seated pretty quickly by the jukebox. The music was my jam. The restaurant was somewhat busy and it remained quiet. The food came all at once, the food was good and the prices are decent. The waitress was good, friendly and knowledgeable.
We all had a good time. I will definitely go back and try other options I had selected.
Also, it's almost Halloween and they have a lot of decorations inside and outside. Nicely done.

There is plenty of parking. Vegan/vegetarian options are also available. Quantities are generous, especially for the appetizers.“

“If you never had a chance to visit the original Iron Room when it was located on Albany Ave. you are in luck! The new incarnation on Tennessee Ave. is a leaner, meaner version which hits just as hard. It's a great place for groups, couples or just hanging at the bar. They offer a fantastic happy hour that is affordable for anyone looking for a great night out in Atlantic City. The menu includes some old, familiar favorites like the chicharrones, deviled eggs, steak tartare and truffle udon mac & cheese, but there are also plenty of new classics to be enjoyed like the Southern fried Korean BBQ tails, roasted cabbage wedge, Oaxacan meatballs and the spicy tuna crispy latke to name just a few. The staff are super friendly and the bartenders will get you exactly what you need, whether it's a beer and shot, a great glass of wine to pair with your meal or an expertly made cocktail. The vibe is chill and there is always a good, eclectic selection of tunes playing throughout the evening. One of the best places in the city without a doubt. “As a server at an Italian restaurant, I was so pleased.I didn’t get the name of our server tonight but he really made our date night special. Last time we came here on our date night we had a girl who made us feel uncomfortable. I assumed she didn’t think we would tip properly (I’m a server I’d never leave under 20%) I had one drink and she asked me immediately after my drink if I needed water after finishing it and never asked us if my boyfriend and I if we wanted refills( whether drinks, salad, bread etc). She never asked us if we wanted dessert either which is fine. But the server tonight we had was amazing!! He made my boyfriend and I happy on our date night(with our 4 month old) he didn’t rush us and offered us pasta to go with the never ending., also asked us about refills!
