I told her it was favorite and we quickly shared some laughs and she gave me the best tips on what to eat with (great recommendations btw lol) and was just so kind and bubbly. The food was on point ! “Visiting Atlantic City for the first time and was thrilled to not only find vegan options, but fun vacation food at that! He had the cheezsteak (oh that roll was SO soft and yummy) and I had the gyro. The staff were so gracious- making sure I had extra tzaziki sauce (even though my ticket and receipt both said it was on the gyro and I hadnt looked at it!). We got the brownie, made by Greystone Bakery that employs people who have had hiring challenges. It was so good we ordered more food to take back to where we are staying. Definitely recommend if looking to grab plant-based breakfast or lunch!“

“Everything was great. We got appetizers at 4pm and could not order certain meals until 4:30(weird) About 4:30 until we couldn't take it any more, we took the balance of our early dinners with us. At 4:30 we noticed the restaurant started filling with flied. First near the floor on my leg then on the back of our seats & table & all around our food. The restaurant was clean to your eye but being in the food service business, Since they were serving food outside using the back door, the flies were swarming in I would suggest bug zappers inside & outside of the exit where they are delivering food. And every so often do a deep cleaning of their furniture and floors, esp under the tables making sure to keep changing the water. Maintence rarely change mopping water from dining area, cooking area & bathroom. And Staff clean tables & booths with the same rags all evening. So like I recommend really deep clean furniture walls & floors & it will help cut down on sticky floors & flies. The food was the best I've had in OC but dealing with the flies was unreal.“

“We love coming here but even with reservations we always wait about 15 mins to be seated. That's fine but there is no place to wait comfortably. Maybe consider taking out one table to make room for a sitting area? At least in the summer. As always, the food is outstanding. The servers are warm and efficient. Noise level is high.“

From Citrus Salmon to sweet potato burgers, lentil loaf, beef gyro, eggplant dishes, turkey burgers and chicken spinach meatballs-the entrees are delicious, healthy and a lot of gf and vegan items, which is rare in this area. Her side offerings are amazing-sweet potato wedges, blue cheese slaw, jicama citrus salad, aloo potatoes and blueberry protein bars. The desserts are perfection, from the mini key lime pies(mom’s favorite) to the peanut butter cookies, which are so good I only order one at a time…. She also does special holiday menus So, if you are in the area, or driving through on your way to the beach, stop in and pick up a great meal! And I need to tell you how we met…. Just a few months into the pandemic, I had a 3 day gig in AC. After the first night. I was feeling awful enough to go to the ER. I didn’t expect to be kept overnight for testing. I didn’t know Amy, I had only been in her shop once. I decided to call to randomly see if she could cover my gig-explaining the situation. She accepted without hesitation and then would not let me pay her for jumping in. I was blown away. Because, who does that? She didn’t know anything about me. So, in addition to her talent as a Chef, she is an incredible human 💕💕“

“I have eaten here twice. Once was in the fall, and now today, right before Christmas. The ambiance is the most charming! I loved it as soon as I walked in. Some places that are adorned aren’t kept very tidy. Jon & Patty’s is VERY clean! Never do you worry about dust or debris. The coffee and apple cider are AMAZING! You will miss out if you don’t treat yourself to one of them. I personally suggest the cider. I normally NEVER get cider anywhere… but this cider is next level! Today we ventured to Egg Harbor Township and the Shop Rite Shopping center to find a local spot to have a fabulous lunch & voila we actually found THE Local Spot Restaurant! A Breakfast & lunch haven open from 8 am to 3 pm everyday of the week! As we ventured in we see booths and a welcoming counter and in the back many more spacious tables. Joining yours truly today was my travelling companion always my Nan and her cousin Theresa. We get Nicole a very engaging young lady who would be our server today and then we also met Danielle and we were doubly happy! Great young ladies who did not just robot the order they were informative, enjoyed the banter and actually were both a breath of fresh air from the normal may I help you no personality people many of you have said to me you are not happy with! It's always nice to smile when greeting your customers! I started off with the lentil soup and the ladies had the appetizer sampler with Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks & Jalapeno Peppers. Lunch was the Corned Beef Grilled Reuben, Grilled Chicken Gyro and for yours truly it was the Big Boy Cheese Steak with Fried Onions & Peppers! We gave the meals six thumbs up! We also gave our servers a standing ovation. And they are so easy to find. Heading east on the black horse pike you'll see the shopping center entrance just past the Burger King. Turn right and go to the end of the road & it's right in front of you! Find a place to park, walk in and get ready for a great breakfast or lunch. We all had to get boxes as the portions were to say the least generous. We met Steve at the main window and he's handling the abundance of take out orders and if you want to join in for a take out call 609-568-5197 but the recommendation here is you make time to visit not just a local spot but THE Local Spot in EHT and ask for Nicole or Danielle. It was a great time had by all of us and as we left they even reached out to say goodbye and in todays culinary world that's not the norm. Total for a tremendous lunch for three right about $50. Beef pho is my favorite and I also love their spring rolls. I have both dined in and taken out the food and have been extremely happy each time. I commend them on how they package to-go orders because I have a far drive home and it was packed in the most thoughtful way possible so that I was able to reheat the broth and not overcook the noodles or meat because it was all packed separate. We wish this location was open all year but at this time they are open during the summer only. The reason we love ANEW is because everything is real, whole food ingredients, with no added preservatives, chemicals, etc., and is top quality all hand made daily by their incredible chefs in-house. They have the most amazing variety of proprietary recipes from breakfast, to lunch, to dinner items. The salads are out of this world and not available anywhere else, only at ANEU. You can even choose from pre-cooked, uncooked, or frozen for many of the lunch and dinner items depending on your schedule. Also available fresh daily are custom pastries and desserts to die for. They even have breakfast sandwiches! The staff is amazing. Somehow the ANEW culture of friendly, professional, customer service still exists at its finest throughout the entire staff. “We were 10 and got seated pretty quickly by the jukebox. The music was my jam. The restaurant was somewhat busy and it remained quiet. The food came all at once, the food was good and the prices are decent. The waitress was good, friendly and knowledgeable.
We all had a good time. I will definitely go back and try other options I had selected.
Also, it's almost Halloween and they have a lot of decorations inside and outside. Nicely done.
