I grabbed some takeout for my mom and myself after a tough week of running to Hackettstown Hospital to visit my boyfriend. It was a wonderful decision! Now only was the food perfectly prepared but we got several meals out of each platter and the staff could not have been any nicer. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Just had the pastrami sandwich. It was delicious. A lot of meat and great smoke flavor. Would definitely recommend!
Recently had lunch at The Pit, it was very good. Everything’s hot and fresh. Big portion, hate my bbq to spicy this didn’t disappoint. 3 bbq sauces offered and several hot sauces on the table. We’ll be back. Give it a try.

The employees are super friendly. The brisket is the favorite meat, along with the sausage link, while the wings are the least favorite. The potato salad is the favorite side. The smoked Taylor ham is to die for. A table with a roll of paper towels shows these people understand their customers.
