“Poole Ave Bar is our spot. We stop by twice a week for some food and drinks, but most of all the laughs from the characters that frequent the bar. And, there are some characters... but it's what makes this spot enjoyable. It's a townie bar where everyone ends up knowing your name. Everyone is super friendly, including the staff. Food is decent.“
“I had lunch with an old friend. Haven't been there in a while and apparently the menu had changed considerably. The food was good but no filet mignon was offered...my favorite. “Great place to grab a bite, drink and watch a game. The walls are lined with TVs and they'll turn just about anything on for you. They have a great selection of tap beers and specialty cocktails. And they have a nice selection of bar food which is very good. Worth the time to hang out with friends and cheer on your favorite team.“
“Come here quite often for alcohol, they have a great selection for a small spot. Recently, I finally went there for a meal and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Staff was pleasant and quick with service. The only issue is the place is rather small and tables are limited.“

There are a nice variety of beers, including a lot of lighter options which Brie's pawrents enjoy! You may also BYO food! The Mutt Market sells their pet treats, so your dog can munch on something with you. Check out Grin's social media for trivia nights, food drives, toys for tots, and other events. Their location is great because just a few feet away out back is the Henry Hudson Trail, a nice path to walk your doggy!“

“I really like this spot. I’m a long haul trucker, and I come here specifically for one bartender, because she’s so welcoming, kind, attentive, and helpful. She came outside to get me while I was smoking because she didn’t want my food to get cold! Now that’s good service! Truly good at what she does. Also doesn’t hurt that she’s very easy in the eyes. “I’m not even done eating and I have to post a review. The food is amazing, cooked like a high end restaurant. The staff are extremely nice and very attentive. I had the Fiesta Burger, medium rare and it was cooked PERFECT. This place is a staple.“
“I have been going there for 40 years now. Always great delicious food as well as, a whole page of specials. The specials are always different. Their burgers are grilled in the center of the bar. They also have a delicious cheddar cheese that they pour over there hamburgers. The house salad with the house dressing is always a winner. Lettuce, egg, little shrimp, with the house dressing! I always loved the crab Melt aways! you cannot make a reservation, there is always a wait for dinner. get there at 11:30 for lunch, it fills up fast! Lunch specials come with a soup or a salad. Recently, renovated, outside area as well. Boneless wings were great and priced under $10, but domestic drafts were a little expensive at $5. The bar was very slow for a Sat night and someone was playing terrible rap music on the jukebox. “First time there, heard good reviews by several acquaintances. The critics weren't wrong. Food was tasty and cooked correctly. Portions are substantial and prices are still reasonable given current economic conditions. There are new prices projections for almost every facit of the economy now. “Apple Jacks is great. The owner John fixed me and hubby up back in 1987. The bar is really fun and they don't only have parties they have parties for the kids to. When my kids were little they had a big party and put a jumping blow up thing in the parking lot for the kids and they also got Ralph the other owner dress up as Santa Clause and have the kids sit on his lap and get presents.“

Bravo's menu is packed with everything from classic pizza to mouth-watering wings, burgers, salads, heroes and appetizers. My favorite meals are their deliciousgrandma pizza, grilled chicken salad and hot wings. Secondly, Bravo has happy hour, live music and when I just feel like watching the game and chilling their sports bar is the most popular place to be. Finally, Bravo Pizza & Sports Bar is locatedin the heart of Staten island and it is great place to meet and greet. Similarly, as a family owned business I remember the staff at Bravo's willingly distribution food to anyone that was hungry, during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. “A well stocked liquor store with a cozy bar. I stopped by to pick up some wine for a house party and the owner John was very helpful with assisting me with the wine selections. I decided to have a Guinness at the bar and Coleen the bartender was very pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment. Very clean, very friendly staff and customers. I'll be back.“
