Just finished their Kung Pao chicken over rice and the Fried Rice Noodles W. Pork & Shrimp & Beef & Egg for takeout. Last time we had their Garlic & Spicy Pork Belly, and Spicy Shrimp Dry Pot, also takeout. I’ve only been to Beijing once many years ago but I distinctly remember tasting unique, amazing flavors every day. I never tasted food exactly as fresh and flavorful again until I came to Chef Ge, a diamond in a sea of golden Chinese restaurants in Edison. Can’t recommend it enough. Also has plenty of vegan options.
Pretty good food and service. We loved Sichuan Spring that was at the same location, so we had doubt before trying. The dishes are actually not bad. We had fish, chicken with lotus and pepper, long green beans, pancake with pork, and Chef Ge chicken. Besides the Chef Ge chicken, all other dishes are highly recommended.
