“We discovered this restaurant through RedNote and came here directly for lunch. We ordered the pickled fish and fried tofu, and we would strongly recommend both—especially if you love fish and tofu like we do.

The fish was very fresh, and the soup was surprisingly light and flavorful, not oily at all, so you could actually enjoy drinking it. The tofu was excellent as well—it was lightly fried first, then cooked again with onions and green onions, which allowed it to fully absorb the sauce and become incredibly juicy and flavorful.

The complimentary cold dishes were also a pleasant surprise. The potato slices were especially delicious, even though they were free. We also enjoyed another cold dish with onion slices mixed with peanuts, fried tofu cubes, and black mushrooms. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal, and we would definitely come back.“

“My favorite restaurant in Edison and a restaurant that must be reported almost every week.
Recommended dishes:
Free-range chicken (a classic of Hunan cuisine, the chicken is delicious when killed alive), sizzling squid (not fishy at all, with the aroma of barbecue), dry-pot beef brisket (not too bad, not chewy, just the right texture), smoked bamboo shoots and beef rice noodles (freshly fried toppings, full of pot flavor, personally ranked first in the Edison rice noodle category)“

“I came specifically for the sweet and sour pork, but it didn’t meet my expectations—it had a noticeable gamey smell. The skewers were decent. The spicy beef potato noodles came in a large portion with plenty of beef, and it tasted like it was made with hot pot base seasoning. The place itself is small, but the service was quite good.“

“Highly underrated. Hole in the wall with a very flexible and competent kitchen staff. They accommodate a wide variety of requests from ingredient changes to sauce adjustments. They happen to be my mother's favorite Chinese place in the area, and she is very, very picky about Chinese food because she is so good at making it herself“

“Food is always delicious! We always order the Peking Duck ahead of time. We had the delicious duck, skillet fish, lotus root, shrimp fried rice, and dan dan noodles. Everything was cooked to our liking, not too spicy! BYOB. We had a 6:30 reservation, every table was filled on a Friday night. The duck is better than at Peking Duck NYC. Servers are really nice. Thank you!“
