“I've had my share of hotpot over the years, and I used to think that Happy Lamb (formerly Little Sheep) had the best soup stock, but I was surprised at this find. First, you come here for 2 things: the soup, and the chicken that goes with the soup. The soup is simply put the most fragrant chicken soup I've ever had and it's delicious. The chicken, mostly dark meat chopped into pieces, cooks well and the longer you leave it in the pot the better it is. Everything else is kind of irrelevant but feel free to get sides to throw into the soup for hotpot use. Finish off the meal with their house noodles and it's the perfect end to their meal. AYCE fruits and snacks at the sauce bar is good too but that's like going to Fogo and only eat from their salad bar. Highly recommend Miss Flower Hotpot if you're a hotpot fan and want to try something...completely different.“
“Nai Brother is definitely a hidden treasury. After several days authentic Chinese food hunting in Princeton, I visited Nai Brother Edison today. The pickled fish soup with snakehead fish fillet is absolutely the best!!! And the add-on veggies are super fresh and tasty.Highly recommend this place!!❤️“
“I've been excited to try this new hot pot place in town since there haven't been too many options. S&Y hotpot is the perfect place if you're looking for 1) not AYCE but still great portions that leave you with doggybags at the end 2) very reasonable prices 3) spice levels through the ROOF 4) authentic chinese dishes. They recommended getting 10 items in the hotpot between 2 people if you're starving, or 7-8 if you're not that hungry. Every 5 items in hotpot come with a bowl of rice so essentially ends up being free. They also said their spice levels are higher than the nearby restaurants; their medium level is EXTREMELY spicy. The mild level is probably what the average American can tolerate. We ordered medium level hot pot with beef, shirataki, enoki, fish tofu, cauliflower. It came out in one big bowl pre-cooked in their kitchen so no work to do for us! We also ordered chong qing chicken, which is basically this delicious fried chicken (bone in) and peanut dish that's spicy but a different flavor of spice than the hot pot. Highly recommend if you're a fan of take out kung pao chicken bc it's similar but MUCH better (and spicier). It came with 2 bowls of rice. The portions were generous and we left very satisfied. Service is great, and the restaurant interior is clean and no frill. DEFINITELY coming back when I need my spice fix in the form of hot pot. I also need to try the spicy and sour potato slices, cumin beef, and filet fish dishes!“
“Saw this gem on IG. Had to try as mom loves HK style wonton egg noodles. Gotta try the veggies with the oyster sauce and add more ingredients to my noodle soup!Mom had dace fish wonton egg noodles soup. (Not pictured) I had dumplings (pork and shrimps) flat rice noodle soup. BF had beef brisket flat rice noodle soup.“
“Expect a line. 24 highly coveted table seats in a small space. We ordered Shanghai spicy minced pork noodle soup, pork juicy soup dumplings, pork wontons in spicy peanut cream sauce, pork fried wonton, and golden lava buns. Our faves were the soup dumplings and Shanghai soup. The service was great. Everyone serving, waiting, or seated were patient and friendly. This is a small space with high demand.“
“The food was authentic and the taste of the sauces were perfectly balanced. I really enjoyed the beef broccoli and the long shredded beef with peppers. Going to try out some more variety the next time i drop by InshaAllah! I highly recommend it, just keep in mind there dine in (for now) is in Tabaq so you can basically walk in to Tabaq and they will offer the Dragon Palace menu too.“
“I have visited Dunhuang Lanzhou numerous times throughout the years, and it has always left me thoroughly impressed and satisfied. This restaurant offers an authentic taste of Lanzhou cuisine that is both flavorful and comforting. Also, if you have kids, they have a window opening to the noodle chef, which is fun for kids to watch. The extensive menu features delicious hand-pulled noodles and hearty beef soups. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Dunhuang Lanzhou was exceptional. The staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable.“
“Came in on a Saturday at around 2 pm for a belated LNY family lunch for our table of 7. It was really busy at that time and there was still a line after we left at around 3:30. Here is everything we ordered:-Crab soup dumplings - these were really good. They came out piping hot and very soupy on the inside. It has more crab meat than most other soup dumpling spots-Pan-fried pork buns - I normally don’t love pan-fried pork buns but these were essentially almost like a fried version of the soup dumplings. I usually eat a bite of this and abandon it but here, I ate a whole thing-Scallion pancake - these were only okay. It was a little too thick and oily-Scallion oil noodles - these were kind of bland but some chili oil/hot sauce fixed that issue-Tong Ho with dried tofu and beans - I had never had this dish before. I liked the texture of the dried tofu. They were very thin malleable strips, almost like a noodle version of tofu. But I didn’t love the tong ho or beans. The beans kind of taste like edamame but mealier-Duck in brown sauce - the duck was dry-Wonton soup - wontons were good. I also appreciate they don’t just dump some wontons in MSG broth. The broth also had seaweed and egg in it-Sauteed string beans - a classic. You can’t go wrong with the sauteed (aka fried) string beans-Deep fried yellow fish with dried seaweed - this was another dish I had never tried before and it ended up being one of my favorites. The fish had a light and crispy coating, and the fish itself was cooked perfectly. It comes with this special salt you’re supposed to dip it in and that really took the dish over the top-Crispy garlic spare ribs - the flavor was good but could have used more salt. Perhaps I should have used the salt from the fish. Meat was a little dry-Sauteed pork rice cake - rice cakes were cooked perfectly but overall, the flavor was a bit bland. I should have used some of the hot sauce on this-Beef with tomato sauce rice - this was another favorite. This also comes with perfect tendrils of egg in the gravy. I would probably be happy just eating the eggy sauce with some riceOverall, it was a great meal. I wasn’t a huge fan of the meat only dishes/apps but I mostly enjoyed everything else. It’s a little further than I would normally care to venture but if I’m ever in the area, I would definitely dine here again.“
“Came for dinner before the dinner rush and was seated immediately and got the VIP package. Quality of the meats and broths were good overall, vegetables were very clean and fresh, and the staff were very attentive.USDA Angus BeefHand Sliced Beef Short PlateAmerican Wagyu BeefMarinated Garlic BeefKurobuta PorkCrab legs, mussels, shrimp and other seafood optionsOnly thing I would ask to change is to make the broths a little less salty. Otherwise, it’s a good place for the price of both the regular and VIP options“
“No frills indo-chinese food with great customer service and a friendly host. Food catered to your tastes and cravings. Not a fine dining restaurant but the food definitely reminds you of popular staples from India. A little expensive, but worth a visit.Definitely try the chilli paneer, made with fresh homemade paneer every day. Hakka style noodles with a side of Manchurian gravy is also great.“
“Their General Tso's chicken is amazing! I stop by there every Friday on my way home from NY and I love it! And sometimes I get delivery and they are always on time and the food is fresh and hot! I highly recommend this restaurant. And they have sushi too!“
“Very authentic and good Northern East Chinese BBQ. Definitely deserve a rating higher than 4.5/5. I would give it a 4.8.I have been there 2 times in 2 weeks.?yeah that is how good the food is.?Very happy with everything we ordered.lamb skewers, chicken skewers, squid, mushroom, fish tofu, Taiwanese sausages, glazed eggplants, braised pork with glass noodles, etc... were all very delicious.Compared to other Chinese restaurants around, food portions and quality is amazing! The restaurant is small... so make sure to make a reservation and be there on time. (or you will need to join the wait-list.)Servers are friendly but not very polite?. but I get it, they are short staffed but packed with costumers. So I'm not too bothered by the manners. My only suggestion, maybe have a host/hostess upfront at the entrance to let people know how to join the wait-list or if they can be seated right away. When it gets busy,it is kinda confusing and chaotic.“
“Vegetarian options: Many option of vegetarian but most important. If you have senior in your company who doesn’t like the smell of it. It’s perfect for them as you don’t smell any food( specially non veg smell ) only great fresh air and good atmosphere. Staff was good. Food was so good that all of us was blown away by the flavors. Every items was unique taste not typical stuffed which you find in every other restaurants with onion and garlic.Sure will return to try other dishes. Keep the good energy and hard work.“
“I ordered the spicy beef stew. I am amazed at the complexity of the spice where, yes, it's spicy but tantalizing where I want to keep coming back for more bites. This is my first time here, and all I can say is wow! They provided me with white rice, a hefty amount of scallions, pulled beef, broth, egg pieces, and various ingredients. There is also this solid cold food in a lil cup that tastes like kimchi and it was refreshing respite to the spice afterwards. Would recommend 10/10?“
“The Lamb Vindaloo wasn't on the menu, but they made it for me anyway. It was very flavorful and had a good spice level. The Chili cheese Naan was good. As well as the mango Lassi. It was thick with a lot of flavor. The service was very good. I would go there again if I was in town.“
“I was in the area and hungry and decided to look up Chinese food near me.. found this one. It had 4.5 stars. Reviews seemed positive so I decided to go and get the boneless ribs and white rice. Cons. I'll stick to my normal Chinese spot. Ribs seemed dry, barely no sauce and rice could of been cooked a little more... just my opinion.“
“I ordered take out from ugly dumpling and enjoyed the food. Hot n sour. 5/5. One of the best hot n sour soups I've had. It was rich in flavor and plenty of ingredients. Orange chicken. 4.5/5 it was very good. Flavorful and I enjoyed the taste. I liked the fact that it wasn't too saucy. Beef n shishito peppers. 5/5. The best item. Beef was Tasty n flavorful. Served with a cup of rice. Diced beef noodle. 3.5/5 I was expecting this to be the best item. But there was some after taste to the soup, which I didn't enjoy. The place was very spacious from inside and there was plenty of seating. My food was ready in timely manner and service was quick.“
“First time here and it was actually recommended by a sweet old lady I was speaking to on a train ride back from NYC. I bookmarked it and made sure that I would visit since it’s not far from where I live and where I usually hang out.Walked in on a Thursday night and while the dining room wasn’t busy, there were quite a few people waiting for their takeout orders. Dining room was clean and and well-kept and since it only had a couple of occupied tables, it was quiet. I’d imagine this place gets packed with patrons during lunch considering Metropark is within a half mile and is probably busy Friday nights too.I grabbed a takeout menu and briefly looked it over. I noticed there were no dinner combo specials and decided to double-check with the host and see if there was an incremental charge to make the lunch combo a dinner combo. Host said they do not offer dinner combos and I would have to order a quart of what I wanted. No biggie.Since I haven’t had Chinese food in a while, I was craving some chicken and broccoli with white rice (I usually go with the brown but wanted some Jasmine rice), and fried/steamed chicken dumplings, which they had.Man what a great dinner! The chicken and broccoli was cooked perfectly and was still hot by the time I got home. I laid it on top of the steamed rice and enjoyed every bite. I finished the entire quart in one sitting including the steamed chicken dumplings. The chicken and broccoli was TOTALLY worth it but to be honest, I was hoping the dumplings were going to be the bigger versions stuffed with chicken. The cost of those dumplings didn’t really add up and I felt like they were the wholesale club version.All-in-all I will definitely return for takeout!“
“Recommend: stir fry, malaOk: numbing green peppercorn, watermelon juiceWould maybe pass on the scallops that are bay scallops.Overall good but I find it a little on the oily sideWatermelon juice was only ok and not very sweet but maybe just because watermelon is currently out of season“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Red Onion is a gem! The food is incredibly authentic, bursting with flavor, and remarkably fresh. The crispy fried pork intestines and Taiwanese meatballs are absolute must-tries. Discovering genuine mom-and-pop places is a joy, and David,( a retired NYC professional dancer and artist who still teaches dance classes in NJ), who runs the show, adds a wonderful personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for a delightful culinary adventure!“
“We have been watching the rice noodle show on Netflix and my husband was curious how “stinky” the snail rice noodle can be. We ordered the “enhanced” version of it, and it came with a lot of toppings. All of them were so well executed. My husband did not find it “stinky” at all. He said it was just normal pickled vegetable smell. He loved the crispy soy beans and peanuts in the soup. I ordered the crawfish rice bowl, and it came with a good amount of crawfish, more than I expected. And the sauce to mix the rice in tasted very hot and flavorful. We also ordered a stir fry AA choy with diced garlic, and it was only $11 for a big plate. Good portion, good taste. Their food is a little too salty to us, but it’s personal preference, and we will ask low sodium next time. Overall, not bad for a quick bite, and their service is fast.Parking: The big parking lot is in the back of the restaurant.“
“They have a pretty decent buffet with quite a few American food choices, Asian (of course), fresh salad and a dessert table. I've never had a bad meal from here, nor have I ever gotten sick from food borne illnesses. The service is, sometimes, a bit nonchalant/laid back. I wish they wouldn't waste so much time looking at their phones and doing more "busy work" like wiping down the buffet tables. But it's not like the place is ever untidy.“
“Welcoming guests with chrysanthemum and wolfberry tea, colorful flatbread, mutton dumplings, big stick spines, and fried sausages, everything is delicious! The food is served quickly and the service is good! Will come again next time! ?Dine in: Yes“
“We had the beef broth soup (spicy enough) was great. Service very nice and fast. The only thing is that the OPEN sign wasn’t big enough and you can just passed them thinking they’re closed. It’s a big place and ‘‘twas empty for lunch.“
“I found this place to be the restaurant version of "Cheers." The owner new everyone and everyone knew the owner. My food was nuclear hot, fresh and spicy which explains why ice cream was included with my combination meal. Once you get past the temperature of the food I found the level of seasoning in my food to be lacking and thus disappointed me just a tad on the flavors that I expected. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meal and dining experience.“
“Found this little gem through Social Media. 20 mins driving is nothing for such high quality of food. It was surprisingly fantastic and wholesome. The place is small but nice décor and very clean. No contact self order kiosk was interesting. Great for social distancing in a pandemic era.My all time favorite was the preserved vegetables with fish fillets soup. The broth was bubbling hot, the sourness of pickles vegetables and fresh slices of fish intertwined of flavor hit you right on the spot. It was so delicious I bought two extra soups for home.We also love the tofu tops with spicy pork and vegis. A delicious unique dish I haven't seen elsewhere. Could use a bit more seasonings. Still love it.The dumplings doughs are chewey and perfect thickness. The one with peanut sauce is the must try. The baos with preserved/green vegetables were tasty. The shrimps dim sum crunchy and chewy textures make you want to savour it on your tongue. Can't tell you how happy we felt after leaving the place. We ordered so much food for brunch but they were all so good, we finished it all in one sitting. Definitely will come back.“
“Best dining experience highly recommend this Chinese restaurant enjoyed tasteful and scrumptious combos. I'm very pleased with their hospitality and excellent overall service. Danny Zheng is by far a extraordinary chef with high class cooking skills. ?“
“Everything is so good and tasty!!! I’ve been here three times, every time is a good experience. The fish is huge!!! Like the classic flavor a lot. Also can tell the fish is super fresh and tender. Will come again and order for delivery of course.“
