“We were there for breakfast today, January 14, 2024 and the service and the breakfast the weight staff everyone went out of their way as they always do for their customers. Unfortunately, there was youth groups that showed up and left the door open which was making customers freeze they clogged up the entryway, you would’ve thought that they would’ve called ahead for such large people to show up at a diner on a Sunday morning. But the staff there did the best they could with seating to regular customers and accommodating the large groups that came in kudos to Hillsborough star diner, and their staff.“

The only problem I have with them most often is getting a reservation on the weekend. “We recently had my daughter’s soccer team lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I spoke with the manager on duty the evening prior and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Service was amazing as was the food. We sometimes have issues splitting checks because the girls want to sit together away from their parents but they handled it with ease. Ordered a butter lettuce salad to share, cauliflower gratinee, barramundi & flat iron steak entrees, and a pineapple rum dessert - all absolutely wonderful. We were happy to have celebrated our anniversary here in an intimate, quiet setting. The dessert chef prepared a special brownie dessert for us - Thank you & we will certainly be back soon. The atmosphere is laid-back but lively, making it perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick drink after work or spending the evening out with friends. “Stopped in by accident and discovered a goldmine. Driving home to Connecticut, I exited 287 to take a break from rush hour. Nothing like a Buffalo pizza to calm the nerves. I was greeted by a friendly host. I requested a seat at a high top in the bar area , so I could people watch and glance at the game on one of the many tvs. I had a great server , his name was Todd. He explained the menu and walked me through the various pizza selections. He not only knew the menu , he was excited discussing the food. I ordered a Buffalo Pie, it was unbelievable. I wish I saved room for dessert , because the choices seemed so delicious. Next time I’m going through town I will definitely come back“

“Went on Saturday July 5 - restaurant was pretty empty. Great service from Jessica. Had the parm encrusted fish and wife had roasted chicken. Food was excellent - fish was a large portion and really prepared very nicely. French Onion Soup very well done, too. First time there - will return.“

“Our first time there but won't be our last. The entrees were excellent. Husband had steak fajitas and said the meat was very tender. I took a taste and it was delicious. I had the pork chop with jasmin rice and it too was delicious.
My only small complaint is that there is no way of knowing this place exists. It is inside the DoubleTree hotel but there are no signs at all. If it wasn't for using Google to find a place to eat, we wouldn't have found it.
Please consider putting up some signs outside. It's got great food, which is hard to find.“

“I came here with my husband. Drinks were great. He ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered their Hot Nashville Chicken sandwich. My husband laughed because I had no idea that Nashville hot meant HOLY HOT lol. But I was not disappointed. This was the juicy, best chicken sandwich I'd had anywhere that I can recall in my 32 years.. And I worked in food service for 13 years. The service was also phenomenal. There was a rowdy bunch of younger ones at the bar that eventually got asked to leave. But she kindly let us know that we were welcome to move our table if we so desired.
