“Made the mistake of getting the chili dog at another place in Middlesex today. It was OK but cost me $7.25 for one dog! Middlesex Texas Weiners are the best! The food is great, the people are nice, and the value is good. I always get 2 dogs, fries, and a soda, but usually only eat one dog so I have a nice snack later. I just read a really nit picking review about here and can only say that the reviewer needs to get a life. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. We ordered the Bao Buns, Chicharron Arancini, Buffalo Cauliflower, Salmon Crudo, Truffle Friesm Goat Cheese & Bacon Pizza, and Broken Burrata Pizza. Each bite was super flavorful and delicious. The crispy fish tacos may be the best I've ever had and I've gone back for them a few times. Being that the margherita pizza is not a traditional pizza, it was still very tasty and had a nice lightness about it. As someone who doesn't typically like clams, the clams on fire has an incredible heat to them that masks the actual clam taste and I love dipping the crostini in the sauce. I was also surprised how high the prices have gotten on many of the more simple fare dishes - especially for Sunday lunch. Like $22 for a grilled chicken sandwich and almost $40 for crab cakes. We usually dine at similar restaurants but prices here seemed higher than average while dining in a tent with exposed plywood. Many times we had to search for a server and the apple cobbler in a nutshell - was terrible. It was like eating an undercooked mouthful of raw batter with cooked apples.
