“Came here for my two year anniversary with my partner and we had a wonderful dinner! I had the swordfish with mashed potatoes my partner had the grits and scallops. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned amazingly. I had this delicious blackberry mocktail that worked well with my meal and finally for dessert we spill a pistachio tartufo. I highly recommend this place for a night out or a great date idea!“

“You would never think that this place has some of the best food in Bay ridge but I promise you it does. I am not generally a person who hangs out in lounges. I am more of an old man bar kind of guy but I love this place.

Wife and I went here the other day and ordered the chicken wings and a burger. Along with a few drinks.

The wings we ordered with no sauce but sauce on the side. Came with hot sauce and blue cheese. Wings are super crispy and tender.

The burger here is by far the best burger you will have in all of Bay ridge. Dry aged Pat LaFrieda burger. We got ours ultra rare. Burger was cooked perfectly and it was so flavorful. I crave this burger and the wife never says no when I recommend we go here. It comes with shoestring fries which I normally don't like but here they are excellent.

The staff is super friendly and portions are very generous.

There was a live band playing who played some songs we sang along to and they were fun.

Given the name (bees knees), I was surprised to learn they aren’t stocked with Barr Hill Gin from Vermont which is made from honey. Strongly recommend the manager offered Bar Hill Gin! “Sandbar Rooftop is a great, low key rooftop in the Fashion District. It is currently still a hidden gem and never crowded, and on the rooftop of the Hilton Hotel. There are a lot of seating options- it's quite a large space, and the decor is very cute and picture worthy. They have a small cocktail selection and I do wish that they had more considering it is a rooftop bar, but I always like what I order. They also have a small food menu, but I have yet to try anything from it. Prices are super reasonable for a rooftop in the area, and I hope it stays that way. Great place for a summer afternoon!“

“The food was really good, the drinks were strong. We went during the happy hour which was nice. It starts at 4:00 p.m. At least at this time when we went. I like how they have the happy hour deal which is whatever they have on the menu and half off on the drinks. Love our time so much, My friends and I are celebrating another birthday there again.“

Sofia, our server, was absolutely phenomenal—polite, well-mannered, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. She helped me choose the perfect drink, even bringing a wine sample that turned out to be a hit. Her descriptions were spot-on and made the decision effortless.
The food was outstanding. My friend’s Pre-Fix dinner was beautifully presented—her shrimp dish looked like a work of art, and the lime pie was perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness and acidity. Sofia’s explanation of the chicken’s subtle sweetness was accurate and made the dish even more enjoyable.
Now, about the burger—I've had burgers all over, but this one was next-level. Cooked well-done (just how I like it), yet still moist and packed with flavor. The layers of pickled onions, Gruyère cheese, and sauce were absolute perfection.

I had the pasta with shrimp which was also delicious. The staff was sweet and attentive. The owner is down to Earth, kind and accommodated us with a cake and board sign for our friend who was the guest of honor. My party of 5 had a great time. The music was also great. “The vibe was really nice! When we got there yesterday, the tables were empty, so we didn’t have to wait at all. First off, HUGE thanks to Sofia and Silina for the amazing service everything was just perfect.
The food honestly felt like art. The portions were super generous, so you can easily split each dish between 2–3 people. We ordered the Eden salad, Eden burgers, pasta carbonara, I think filet mignon, mix of fruits, lava cake, and a few drinks.
Everything was fantastic, shoutout to the chef! I don’t know who was working in the kitchen yesterday, but even though he/she were alone, everything came out fast and tasted incredible. No words. Just thank you to all of you!
