“So many years coming to the shore and tonight was our first time! Crazy :) The place was hopping, lots of people, families, kids getting a treat! Everyone working there was so nice! Super helpful and kept their cool. The line moved quickly. Flavors/toppings and specials are listed on black boards. Several people came to get icecream cakes!
Servings were generous.
Accessible ♿️ with plenty of parking. No place to side indoors, but there are benches outside.“

“One of the best Ice Cream shops around. Great flavors that you can tell are homemade. They have a good variety of classic flavors and unique ones too. This location gets busy at certain times of the day so be prepared to wait. There's no real indoor seating either but plenty of parking.“

“My family and I are obsessed with this place! All of the young workers are so kind and courteous. They are constantly cleaning up the yogurt machines and the topping stations and it looks super nice.
There's a wide variety of toppings and they're not basic either! My favorite is the sauce/ wet topping station. It's got everything from hot fudge to marshmallow drizzle and reese's peanut butter sauce!
I honestly can say I enjoy coming here more than getting an ice cream from an ice cream place. I'd highly recommend it for the topping selection and lots of variety.
Shoutout to the workers and owner for their great business! Also, the fish aquarium is so pretty and they're always playing something fun on TV for my kids to watch. 10/10!“

“I have been a Lighthouse Italian Ice fan for my entire life. I believe this Lighthouse location makes the most delicious ice and ice cream. Kevin uses fresh fruit when in season to make some of his ices and ice creams. I think it's the best Lighthouse there is!“

“Been a while since I've seen a Tom Carvel ad (I suspect he's dipping cones in hot fudge in the heaven location now), and maybe 15+ years since I've enjoyed the custard at Carvel. Have done lotsa DQing. It's okay. And I think the dense, dense thick custard at Rita's may be a richer take on the confection. But Tom's custard was great on a hot late summer day.“

“While DQ has great ice cream treats we really enjoy that you can custom make cakes. You only need 24 hours ahead of your event and you choose flavors and center. Everyone raves when the cake isn’t the standard ice cream cake. Pricing is on par with all ice cream cakes and is fresh made.“

“Been going to Ralf’s for years since original location in Staten Island great family I know them well as for this rt 34 location product still is the same excellent but for what you get according to size you order seems to be skimpy or a bit shy depending who’s filling your cup ,for the price you pay you should feel like you’re getting your moneys worth but that’s not the feeling you get your order the cup should be filled no matter the size“

I was honestly floored by the customer service experience I received and how well the team seem to gel together. One employee, Desiree, whose name I asked for specifically for this review, was particularly adapt to handling large orders and tedious requests coming from customers, Myself included. “On Sunday we stopped in to pick-up something to take over to my brother and sister in-laws house for dessert. What's better than Carvel. There was so much to choose from it all looked so good!!! I can remember as a kid Carvel commercials how can you forget Cookie Puss. After a long time on making a decision we chose the ice cream sandwiches Yummy. Upon arriving we told my brother in-law we got ice cream sandwiches his serious reply was he never meant a ice cream sandwich he didn't like. They were absolutely deliciousI want to say the woman running the shop was very professional and pleasant. She was extremely helpful and I would definitely recommend this location.“

“I'm not a big fan of icecream&gelati but I was in the area and I said to give it a try. Service is fast and friendly. I ordered a small gelati and before taking my first bite I noticed that there was something in it, I'm not sure if it was hair, it looked more like a thread from a fabric. I went back and the girl looked so embarassed.. She apologized and offered me another gelati, a big one and she insisted on giving me a 2nd item, which I refused, I wasn't even able to finish the gelati lol.I really appreciated her“

“I've eaten a lot of frozen treats in my day. A lot. Tortoni in restaurants, ice cream sammiches from the corner store, tubs of Häagen-Dazs from the supermarket, Brooklyn street corner treats like pirágua and coquito, italian ices at pizzerias, etc. Like grandpa always said: if it's cold and sweet, I'm ready to eat...okay, I'm lying, he never said that. I just made it up... but it's a credo to live by. Anyway, love ice cream but frozen custard (made with eggs) is better. Love Italian ice but homemade ice with stuff in it is better. Rita's has THE BEST Italian Ice and THE SECOND BEST frozen custard (after that banana custard place in Coney Island. Enjoy both with a "Gelati" as they call it. Mine was black cherry ice and vanilla custard. Amazing.“

“Obviously the cookies are good but I’m sharing this for the great workers!
Tonight I ordered a 4 pack to get delivered and within in the 2 minutes it took for me to get outside, raccoons stole 3/4
cookies. I ordered another one, telling them they got stolen bc i thought it was funny, and asked them to text me before arrival so it wouldn’t happen again lol.
This is what i saw when I opened the box!
So funny and I appreciate the hospitality involved.
