I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Daily Planet and was fortunate enough to encounter Ivy the bartender! Despite the bar being busy, Ivy was attentive, friendly, and seemed to be generally interested in engaging with patrons. This is Eddie, Jim's son. I grew up here, we've done just about everything we can do in a 120 year old log cabin bar to keep it up and running. The place is spotless, the beer is fresh, the beer lines are new, clean, and the cabin is somehow still standing strong. All of my employees are friendly and attentive. First visit in years. Love the new deck and cozy atmosphere. Bartender was friendly and welcoming. Hoping the new owner extends the menu. No dancers on Sundays makes it welcoming for families.
