“Our favorite local hangout! Ever since the new owner took over this place can’t be beat. It feels like you’re just casually hanging out with friends. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive, music is great… darts, shuffleboard, pool, delicious bar pies… what else could you ask for?“

The portions are excellent, the fajitas are insane, the guac is fresh and delicious, my order took 12 minutes(fast!), and the price is right. They Kept It Simple Stupid! “This place is truly one of the best parts of Rockaway. I work at the doctor's office up the street from it and we order take out a lot. They serve all the classic bar favorites to perfection! The juicy burgers are fresh and absolutely fantastic...and OMG the cheesesteak is AWESOME!!!!! But what really makes this place standout are the people behind all of it. Bridgett, the owner, is genuinely one of the loveliest and most accommodating people you'll ever meet. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome, and you can tell that she puts her heart into the place. She will personally deliver our food to our office every single time because we are so busy. And Myles deserves a huge shout-out. That man can cook a burger like nobody else, and the cheesesteak he puts out is honestly next-level! You can taste the care and skill in every bite of it. It's disappointing to see a few unfair reviews floating around, because they don't reflect the real experience here. Great food, great atmosphere, and truly GREAT people. “We went to McKenna’s Pub to get drinks and play pool for my daughter’s birthday today. It was really a great experience and I’m so glad we found it!! The bartender Billy was so welcoming and went above and beyond for us. The other guests were also very friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. Even though I lost at pool, McKenna’s Pub will definitely be a go to for us in the future!!“

“Adam’s Beer Garden is a secret gem! I’ve driven passed this a thousand times. There is more then enough room to watch all the games. Spread out at this bar there is a bunch of things to do. Play pool, play the lottery, I believe they have a dart board! Go outside where there is even more endless space and challenge someone to foos ball. Before you go outside grab a cigar from their humidor. Then just chill out there in front of a big screen and watch your team win a game. They have a okay selection of cigars to choose from. The cigars are reasonably priced. Lots of beer on tap. We ordered a pitcher you should too! Cash only! Don’t think they sell food.

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

Only wish we lived closer, totally worth the drive and can’t wait to go back. The service was also excellent! They were also very accommodating to dietary needs and substitutions. WOW - the menu, the food, the cocktails, the service and effort put into everything is still FABULOUS! Our dinner on Friday was so good, we ate there again on Saturday night. He responded to my questions in a timely manner and handled the small details that day so I could enjoy myself with the guests. The food was great and the variety made it fun. “We celebrated a milestone birthday in the dining area next to the terrace with delicious food and great service. The bar had a large selection of beer, wine had a dozen options, plus mixed drinks. The staff let me taste a couple beers before I chose one to go with my calamari appetizer which was very large and well prepared. I do think the standout appetizer was the tuna which had an amazing citrus flavor. For my main I had the sea bass while most of the others had streaks. I thought it was delicious and the rice delicious. Maybe a tad too much butter for me, but no complaints. I skipped desert but the chocolate cake and apple tarts looked amazing. Service was top notch, my water glass was consistently filled and the staff present but not too much so. A great late afternoon dining experience.“

“We decided to go to Charlie’s to listen to music on a Sunday afternoon. Headed straight out to where the band was playing. Inside was about 15 people watching soccer and baseball games and drinking/eating. A server took an order from a table near us, not acknowledging us. About 10 people outside. After ten minutes I went inside asked for a menu and ordered two drinks. She told me someone would be out to take order for food. Another ten minutes went by. I went back in and ordered. There were at least four staff members inside, It wasn’t that busy. Our drinks were good, food was good and music was nice.
It’s too bad the service was lacking , it didn’t have to be. If they were more attentive, people outside would have ordered more drinks because it was warm.“

“October feast was great except for the beer lines. Could have done better maybe more then one beer truck or people walking around handing out the beer for tickets. Beer was 6 tickets, should have sold one ticket for beer rather then counting out 6 one dollar tickets. Music was great“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

My friend had many GF choices which she also ordered extra meals to take home, but was disappointed that the GF cheese cake bar was removed from the summer menu.
