“I ordered it on UberEats and this place is serious.. burger is pretty good,but could use some kind of burger sauce. Fries are fire, and the fried Oreos are the best I’ve ever had.

“Based on my experience there, I loved it but I’m hesitant to give five stars cause I only had the ribeye cheesesteak which may be one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had out in NJ in all seriousness. Felt a little pricey but so does everything else these days. Even then, the cheesesteak was worth every cent. Highly recommended.“

“My 1st time here my mom and I were just looking for food having been in the ICU all morning. The host/bartender we had was such a pleasure, so welcoming and cool. Her frozen drink was delicious. However, this is the very first time eating Shake shack in downtown Jersey City. I will come back again either by myself or with somebody else.“

“I stopped coming to this restaurant years ago because of an odd smell, but when a friend wanted to go, I decided to give it another shot—and I’m so glad I did! The place has completely transformed. The service was excellent, and our server, Yousry, was incredibly attentive. The drinks were spot on, and the food was fresh and delicious. I was truly impressed and will definitely be back.

“This place is all misguided hype. It tasted very bland and the tender was dry in the slider. The medium heat level didn't really have any heat. Maybe that's where I messed up but it didn't have much flavor and was dry. Howlin Rays is much better than this place, I won't be back.“

The second time I stopped in, owner was not there and the service wasn’t as pleasant. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. The Caucasian clerk told me I couldn’t get a military discount because he’s not the owner. Then proceeded to talk about Burger King and other fast food chains not giving discounts. The food didn’t taste as good the second time probably because the experience was icky.“

“The owner or guy at the front was a pleasure to meet and clearly understands the benefit of eye contact and customer service. I ordered the cheese steak. The sandwich itself was juicy, flavorful and nice sized for the price. My issue is I wish they would wrap the sandwich in parchment paper cut in half and then wrap in the foil wrapper. The sandwich is juicy but sloppy and drips everywhere. If it were wrapped better you could enjoy the sandwich like a gentleman. Enjoyed overall and on another note I give this brother big respect. He employs all black men. And as one I love seeing that. Respect brother!“

“I HONESTLY was coming here to write a bad review because of the horrible service I received lastnight from the girl who looked HORRIBLE & gave me horrible service to match until I gained attention from from the FRYGUY who I totally misjudged at first because of the tattoo on his face silly me but he absolutely helped & made sure my order was correct up untill then I was feeling ignored but he made sure that I was being taken care of & actually smiled & wished me well while waiting i watched him help & give everyone else the same great service & also work 3 different places even cashier all while others stood at one position this review is to APPRECIATE the FRYGUY I happen to work in the restaurant field myself so I really appreciate great service he totally saved a bad review to a good one shoutout the FRYGUY :)“

“Excellent experience! I ordered a ham & cheddar cheese omelette with 3 buttermilk pancakes for pickup. It was ready when I arrived, the omelette was bigger than I expected and tasted great. The pancakes were great too. Butter, syrup, and utensils were included in the bag.“

I stop here often after a jaunt to the dispensary to reup on snacks and pick up something from the deli, because anyone thats ever been here knows its hard to find a better deal. Gyro combos (featuring fries and a can of soda) for about 8 bucks, lamb and rice dishes for about the same price, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, hell even a decent lil philly cheesesteak! The food here is so good that I basically plan my dispensary trips around their hours (the deli closes at 3pm and they arent open sundays). They even have some comfy seating if you want to eat the meal there.

However, the experience was a bit let down by the indifferent staff, who didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming. Despite that, it was worth the visit for the iconic sliders and the fun of checking it off my list.“

Though this is kinda of a smaller place with fewer seats than other ones in and around Jersey City, this has a better vibe and is always cleaner and nice, too. I do recommend this!
