The food is just too good. Used to live in JC and have since moved to Hoboken and still get Efes delivered regularly, nothing compares! We get the mixed grill and shepherds salad with chicken, side hummus and hits every time. But everything is so fresh and flavorful. Also a great place to dine in.

TLDR: Unforgettable food with exceptional service and atmosphere

I was visiting from the west coast and happened to dine here with a friend on the first day of Ramadan. Dates and water were provided to break fast. But the food. Wow. I already have high regards of Turkish food, but this was just on another level. The meats were grilled and seasoned to perfection and I couldn't stop eating the manti. Baklava was also great - just the right amount of sweetness.

This is about our fifth visit to the restaurant in the past two years. It is always about good food, and excellent service. The set up, the dishes and the food gives a very middle eastern vibe. The only minus we can think of, that it is not busy enough. We are very critical about what is good food. In Jersey City, in our opinion, there are very few restaurants that worth visiting. Effes is definitely at the top 3! We strongly recommend.
