We are visiting from Canada and were looking for a nice place to eat and El Paradero really hit the spot. The food was delicious and very well made. It almost felt like it was homemade food. Absolutely delicious!!

It is easily the best Ecuadorian food I have eaten in the USA. There is no restaurant in NJ or NY that compares to it.The only thing that would be important about hijuefruta is that they accept cards, not just cash. So after sending me a good sausage broth or a good onion, I can call my bank to say that I don't recognize that transaction so they give me the money back and I end up eating for free, I stop.No, but by the way, accept cards or at least PayPal, Zelle or Venmo.
