Fantastic eats! Mmmmm-mmmmm good!
Lady G hands down makes the best Empanadas I have ever had! I met Lady G and the crew at the The Rotary/Kiwanis Caldwell Street Fair, last weekend and they had a line down the street, waiting to get their hands on all that Hot and Tasty goodness! They really do put the Soul in Soul Food!!! Lady G Empanadas is simply the best!
Each Lady G Empanadas comes fully loaded juicy with sauce included. Dem there empanadas are the bomb and I don’t even like empanadas until I tried Lady G Empanadas.

Lady G Empanadas is a local soul food spot in Jersey City with amazing food and a lively atmosphere. The empanadas are some of the best, and the food is absolutely delicious. Popular menu items include the catfish, which is the freshest ever, stinky fried chicken and fries that are crispy and well seasoned, crab legs, wings, and shrimp empanadas. The collard greens are AMAZING, the yams are good, and the jerk chicken empanada is good, though the sweet plantain can overpower the flavor. The drinks are very strong and good, and the hookah is decent, though the hookah service can be a major letdown. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond, with a warm welcome and a waitress who breaks down the menu with a smile. The DJ is good, and there are karaoke performances. The inside is rather small, and a $20 per person coverage charge exists. The food is great for sharing sizes, and the restaurant is locally owned and amazing.
