Nice atmosphere and good service! Tteokbokki was too salty and the flavor was just alright. Minari pancake and bulgogi cream perilla pasta were good. Pine nut salad and grilled branzino risotto were great. Sweet potato cake dessert was okay.

We had reservations and upon receiving our starters our waiter tells us that we only have 45 minutes to eat because our section was needed for another party. The waiter was not empathetic at all and could have informed us beforehand that we could only dine for an hour. The desserts we HAD TO TAKE TO GO did not hold and we couldn't even drink or eat freely as we had planned. Not impressed at all as my first time, will NOT be recommending. They even forgot our main bulgogi pasta dish til the end after being reminded 3 times.GOOD FOOD SUBPAR SERVICE

Service: We arrived around 2:15 PM on Saturday, but the staff informed us we had about 7 minutes to order because the kitchen was about to close to prepare for dinner. Later, they somewhat rushed us to pay so they could close the register as well. The business hours listed on the website didn’t mention this (just says 12 PM - 12 AM), so we were taken aback and quite uncomfortable. However, because of that, everything was quick; we got our seats immediately, and it took about 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive.(1) Bulgogi Cream Perilla Pasta: The creamy, salty and sweet bulgogi-flavored sauce is very impressive and unique, making me say “WOAH” at first taste, but I don’t think I could finish the whole dish because it’s quite heavy and quickly becomes too much.(2) Rose Tteokbokki: Decent tteokbokki cooked perfectly with a chewy texture, fish cakes (in ball shape), and sausage. The sauce was creamy and a bit too sweet for my liking, which also made it quickly become too much.(3) Manari Pancake: Crispy on the outside and soft inside, quite burnt but it came with a sauce to dip which was okay, not too impressive.(4) Cast Iron Fried Rice: Pretty good and well-seasoned. I love the fatty and a little bit crispy of pork belly but I wish there’re more of pork belly and spicier.(5) Sizzling Rice Stew with Seafood: I love the sizzling rice here because it went very well with the soup which is well-seasoned with seafood, veggies, and mushrooms.(6) Fish Roe Rice with Black Cod: The portion is quite small, but the combination of radish, cucumber, tobikko, and white rice go well together. The flavor itself reminds me of sushi rice with a hint of sweet and tangy vinegar. The black cod is cooked perfectly, melting on your tongue, but still, it’s quite small to satisfy.Overall: Pretty pricey but understandable for a restaurant in the heart of Jersey City. Most dishes I tried had a sweet hint to them, which made them quickly become too much, and most of them are not too special to remember. However, it’s worth a try for me.

ONDO is incredible and I’d go there every night if I could! I’d say some of the best food in Jersey City. The Tofu salad is addicting-perfectly fried and paired with a gooey mandarin glaze that coats each bite perfectly. The Japchae with bulgogi hit every mark with tender and chewy noodles. The fried rice was a whole event that was video worthy. Delicious and fun.I’d make a reservation on weekends!

We came here for lunch on a weekend because we live nearby. We got 5 dishes that the waiter recommended. The flavors were good and my favorite dish was the octopus pasta. My only complains were that the portion of each dish was sooooo small and the octopus pasta didn't have much octopus in it. Our soup took a long time to come but they knew that and took $20 off our bill as an apology. I like the idea of Korean fine dining but in my opinion the quality of the dishes here are not on that level yet to be charging this price.
