I've always got my pastries from Elisa's. They taste wonderful.
Today I spent $40. I had 2 boxes and a loaf of semolina. I asked for a bag as it was very windy and didn't want my precious pastries to take flight. They made me pay .50¢ for a paper bag! come on Elisa's you can do better than that! $40 and multiple items don't warrant a free paper bag.
When I ordered a full sheet birthday cake (in person) the salesclerk was patient, professional and attentive to the details I requested. Great customer service!
At pickup in Jan 2025, the large heavy cake was carried out to the car for me. It was beautifully decorated and exactly as expected. Again, great customer service!

I've bought many pastries and desserts from Elisa's Bakert and never disappointed. I always wanted a gingerbread house and decided to get one this year, since my husband had died 3 months ago. Spent over$90 and am so disappointed. The gingerbread was so hard and stale, no one could eat it. As were some of the candies and icing on the house itself. Most of the cookies were hard and several people spit them out after trying to eat one. I wound up throwing the entire house out.

Elisa's Italian Pastry Shop & Bakery is one of the very few authentic bakeries in Monmouth County and Ocean County, well stocked with daily fresh baked Italian pastries, cookies and cakes. The bakery is well laid out with delicious smells. The birthday cake was delicious, beautifully decorated, moist, with a light and tasty chocolate mousse filling. It is the best bakery in S. Jersey with the biggest selection and best quality. The prosciutto bread is absolutely the best. Cookies for every holiday and family birthday cakes are exceptional. The owners are from Brooklyn. A bit pricey, but worth it.
