“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Route 1 Diner for Lawrence Township, our 129th town.
The Route 1 Diner is a classic Jersey diner, and one of the few that remain open 24/7. You can order anything off the menu at any time of day.
We popped by on a Sunday morning, so we got a pair of omelets for breakfast. When you're near Trenton (just up the street to the city line), you get the "Trenton Omelette", which has pork roll, sausage, onion, and cheese. YUM! The Chicken Avocado omelette was great too.
On a Sunday morning, the place was hopping with a crowd of regulars (the servers seemed to know many folks' names!) Despite the crowds, the service was fast and prices quite reasonable.“

“Great diner food! Went for breakfast for the first time. Service was excellent and our waitress was very friendly. Place is very small, so you may want to think twice before going with a party of more than4 people. Overall, great value and good experience!“

“Seriously good Coffee! Meat lovers omelette and a spinach omelette with coffee. I had a hankering for pork roll, and the meat lovers omelette didn't disappoint. This is a very nostalgic place me, haven't been in town in a very very long time. Thank you Pats diner for still being here ❣️?“

“This is the best Denny’s I’ve been to the atmosphere is so nice. I the staff service is great! I regularly visit 10/10

“The only thing I would change is I would keep all the small kids on one side of the restaurant. for those of us without kids they can be a bit loud and distracting. but the food and staff always top notch!! we try to get there at least once a week!“

“I really enjoyed my time here. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, bacon, and the homestyle fries. The eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked. The fries were a little bit bland but that was made up for by the service and attentiveness of the waitress and owner. We had an amazing waitress who was kind, and we got our food quickly. The owner was filling and refilling everyone’s coffee and made sure that we were enjoying ourselves. I would definitely recommend to a friend. They had so many different options food wise.
Overall I would rate them 4.7/5 stars.“

“It is what you make of it. Typical dining hall food. Not very good quality. Meat is usually dry and overcooked and the salad bar gets very repetitive and oftentimes soggy, but the soft serve ice cream machine is great. The music/radio is so loud though, makes for an unenjoyable atmosphere.“
