When it was time to pay the check, I noticed their new pay system had already added a 15% tip to the bill. I think tipping should ALWAYS be the discretion of the patron. Because my server was great, I didn't have a problem paying the 15%. I wonder if her tip is shared. FYI, you can change the tip amount at the register, but ya'll need to pay attention.Food at this diner is always yummy. The staff is great and at my visit they were on top of everything. “I had to stop by to write this review! I ordered the honey garlic and the honey buffalo chicken wings for the Super Bowl and boy I wasn’t disappointed!!! It was finger licking good and I was so surprised that we had no left overs and our guest was inquiring about this place because it was so good. The wings were cooked to perfection, not hard or burnt under the sauce just a nice crisp that made everything so enjoyable. The owner was super sweet and the round tray that she put everything in was very professional. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some more food on her menu along with the wings. “I had an overall wonderful experience at Colonial Diner. The food was better than your average diner and the atmosphere was very notable. I spoke to who I believe to be the manager there about the place and he pointed out the original floors and tiles in the building. The diner had a long bar stretched across the building with multiple TVs playing movies. The staff was very friendly and my order was taken and came very quickly. I showed up about a little over an hour before closing and the restaurant did not have many people in there. The parking lot was large and had many spots. I came on a Thursday night and the staff was very quick everything was done almost immediately after sitting down.“

“I’m a lifelong Vicki’s customer and I absolutely love this diner. But on DoorDash the price for a side of fries is $12 which is absolutely insane. I feel like the prices in person and online for this diner keep increasing and I was always fine with it because I support small businesses and the pandemic was hard but small stuff like soup and fries should not be over $10. If that’s the case, I can’t keep eating here. Diners are supposed to be pretty cheap and now we spent over $30 a person for lunch.“
“My wife and I stopped here for an early morning breakfast after getting in late to Newark airport. It’s 5 minutes from the airport and a good stop. I gave it a 3 for atmosphere because it’s a small place and every seat is near the kitchen, but it’s a pleasant atmosphere nonetheless. I had the corned beef hash and eggs, and it was great. They accommodated my wife’s request to have strawberries cooked in with her oatmeal and that was great too. The coffee is definitely on the better end of the diner coffee scale. “When I think about eating at a diner, I often imagine a diner in the middle of a dirt road that offers a place of solace and comfort. In this imagery, painted by movies and television, what makes a diner so warm and homey is the nurturing waitress that is friendly, kind, nurturing, and provides a calming presence. That was Doreen for me, who made my dining experience so warm and comfortable. We had some small talk which helped me relax after a long night taking care of our newly arrived baby girl. When I wanted to change my order, she was prompt and wasn't defensive like some others might be. The food was also plentiful and filling, coming out piping hot and delicious. Although diner foods have been getting more expensive due to inflation, I believe it's worth it especially with the nice little warm and friendly interactions. “This Denny's is on a highway across from a large mall and gets less customers as a result. Still, the food is good and the restaurant is very clean. Prices are cheap and I bought extras, fruit salad & banana cream pancakes topping.Vegetarian options: You can ask for no meat. The only thing that is really vegetarian is the side salad.Parking: On Sunday, the lot is empty. I think there are offices using the same lot. A hotel has a lot in back & might overflow into Dennys.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicapped parking spaces. The restaurant is one floor and another customer used a walker to leave ok.“

Never have I had a problem until I noticed that they charge 3% when I used my debit card. I told them that was illegal in NJ. They said they are aware of it but still continue to charge 3%. I was told by a Hispanic gentleman at the door today that I can pay with cash or credit. There is nothing saying I can’t pay with debit nor does it state anywhere that there will be a 3% fee if I pay with debit. I have every intention to find out who I can report this to because it’s not right. I would advise anyone who eat at Manny’s to check your receipt.“

This diner has a modern feel and includes a bar but retains the booths that are indicative of diners. The hostess told us to choose any booth to sit in but did not walk to our booth to set our menus down.After taking our time looking at the extensive menu, we were ready to order but had to wait a couple of minutes before our server came to take our order. Our server was kind enough to apologize for the wait since they were occupied with a larger party then quickly took our drink and food orders. Our drink and food did not take long to be served to us (around 10 minutes) and were impressed by the quality of the items we had ordered. Order the South Central Mexican Skillet if you’re looking for perfectly seasoned home fries and fried eggs!“

I loved it, food was good and fulfilling while I listened to the local chatter from the patrons! The service was awesome and even the cook came by to say "hi"!
