“Driving through town on a business trip. Wanted a true NJ diner meal. Doesn’t look like a classic diner on the outside, but absolutely fits the bill inside. Clean and comfortable with a massive multi-page menu. I sat at the counter. Great and attentive service. The chicken soup was delicious, and the club sandwich was exactly as it should be. Substituted quality onion rings for fries. Took a slice of carrot cake to go. I would absolutely come back.“

We had brown sugar, Cortado with oat milk, and it was really good .. They can never go wrong with the Cortado… frozen Frappuccino was ok. Regular coffee was good too. Slightly pricey but good for the price : we liked it overall. 4 stars . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I came across Palo de Azucar while I was in Trenton on business. I was looking for a spot where they sold not only quality coffee, but tasty brunch as well. If you're interested or already enjoy Spanish food, this is the place! The quality of coffee did not disappoint, but what stood out most of all was the food. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte with Oat Milk and a California burger, simply delicious (ask for it cooked at a lower temperature if you like medium!) My mother ordered from the International Treats, and this is by far what took the spotlight for us. We had the Beef Colombian Empanadas and were beyond impressed, from the freshness of the food all the way to each and every flavor of the well-seasoned beef. The empanadas are crunchy/crispy on the outside, and every ingredient on the inside is hot flavorful. The Alcapurrias were a show stopper as well, the outside being fried Yucca and the inside beef. The service was quick, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the prices were comfortable and fair. “We picked a few different things off the menu to be different. My wife’s French onion smash burger was amazing. We had wings with two different sauces and weren’t too bad. I went with the bbq brisket burrito. I could not taste any brisket in it but liked the way it was cooked. Maybe a sliced cheese to give you a pull would have helped as well. “Really a modern and cozy cafe. It is super clean. The service is attentive and friendly. I’ve tried sweet and savory bake goods from here and all of them are so yummy. I also love their cakes. They seem to use a different cream fillings and toppings. The flavor is delicious yet it is less sugary. Highly recommended.“
