“Okay so this was my first time here; I live 3 minutes down the road and finally had the chance to try this place out w my bff and babyyyyy it was worth the wait!!! The waitstaff are super sweet and attentive. & the food?! THE FOOD?!?? From the birria fries to the birria tacos, I was in birria heaven. Everything was cooked to perfection & you know the food was made with love. Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be back again, and with more friends!!!“

“The food was fantastic! It was one of the top 5 Mexican meals I have had in my life! The mole was amazing, margaritas were awesome, even the guac was superb. Everyone in my party loved their food.“

“Very unassuming store, passed right by it and had to turn around. Inside is bright and colorful.

Purchased a large aqua fresca (horchata), a mangonada, and a bionico.

All were good, though you can prob find cheaper horchata elsewhere.

Mangonada was interesting, came with a tajin(?) covered straw that had a texture of dried fruit. Tasted like chili dried gooseberries. Some of the mango chunks weren't the sweetest or softest, but was still tasty.

Liked the bionico the best. The crema and banana made any fruit in there sweet.

Greeted in Spanish upon entry, though we got by with English just fine. Workers were kind. Paid in cash, unsure if they take card.“

“Had the vegetarian calabacitas with a side of the consommé and it was amazing. It was like a beef stew in taco form. 🤤 and the abuelita’s Jamaica was perfectly paired.

Also the chips and salsa are perfectly done.

The staff was super nice too, being really patient with me while I was ordering, too.

“There were nine of us who dined there last night and we 100% agreed that the reviews are spot on. I got the Mexican Style grilled shrimp tacos and they absolutely slapped. We got the Latinas Bites for our app and finished off the night with the Dolce Quesadilla and Xangos for dessert, which were both uniquely and indulgently sweet. During dessert, I had pointed out that you'll know how good the food is because nobody's talking and everybody's eating. The first bite was as savory and delicious as the last and you must be prepared to bring food home. If you're familiar with the 7 Elements of Taste, this is definitely the place for you. I'll easily give Latinas a 9/10 and I will definitely be back, since there's so many more things I want to try.

“Visited Los Chulos on taco tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed the 5 for $5 Pollo tacos and 4 for $10 beef birria tacos with verde sauce and a generous side of cooked jalapeños. Very polite and friendly young lady took my order and said it'll be ready in 10 minutes. (exactly 10) Located in the front of an older house on Haddon Ave and has plenty of parking out front. Loved my food and will definitely put Los Chulos on my list of very good taco places.

“We just had dinner at El Nopalito last night and it was great! The food was delicious, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is so cozy and pretty inside. We got in right before it got very busy, but even with the rush, our food came out quickly and was very good. Highly recommend!“

“I am warning you that you are entering a show off zone. My bestie is half Mexican, half Italian and she cooks delicious Mexican vittles. It's very hard to impress her. She is a foodie duct taped to another foodie. Okay? Jajaja! So, I took her here, one of my favorite places to eat in Camden, NJ. She loved it!!! And you will too!! The atmosphere is chill and the food is hot. You will not regret it. NO REGERTS! (That's an old school joke, not a typo). Jajaja!

“Decent food. Tacos are a little pricey. I usually get the burritos though and load up on sauces - the sauces are great.

It can get pretty packed in the late afternoon, so don't expect to get a place to sit. Service is straightforward - purchase at kiosk, get a buzzer, pick up food.

Overall pretty okay. Although atmosphere and food is definitely a step down from the New Brunswick location though.“

“Absolutely LOVE Canela! The food is always on point - definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in South Jersey. I often get the Enchiladas De Mole Poblano and they are amazing! I often have enough for two meals! We also frequently get the tacos which are so delicious, varied and a great price. We often order here if we are having friends over and ordering out - everyone is always impressed and friends even request it when they're coming over!“

Other places I've tried are a bit too greasy or water down the consume. I finished both tacos and consume. “The food was fresh and hot. It was the primary election that day, and I working the polls that day and knew 1) I could have lunch and it was (essentially) right across the street from the polling station and I had never been here before. 2) I was not disappointed.
I chose the Zircronizada as an appetizer. It was a ham stuffed quesadilla.
For the entree, I ordered, Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo. That was cooked shrimp in a sauce with asst. vegetables.

“(Update) 2nd Visit: I placed a takeout order for 2 dishes of beef empanadas (8 in total), and received all chicken empanadas. I discovered this once I got back home. I called the restaurant and they were very accommodating, and thankfully I live nearby. They replaced both orders with what should’ve been 8 beef empanadas. NOPE. All chicken again. 16 opportunities to get a least one beef empanada, and they couldn’t handle it somehow. One of the managers, Cesar Flores was very very helpful, despite us ultimately wasting our time and effort to desperately get the correct order.“
