Update - after about 2 years - this is still one of favorites in the area. The food still fresh and outstanding but we love Jose, Carolina and Mary herself. Casual and homey atmosphere. “I really enjoyed eating here, you are unlikely to find Mexican food this good outside of Camden City. The family that runs those places are very polite and attentive to your needs, there is a traditional atmosphere, it reminds me a lot of a small Mexican that you would find within Mexico. Definetly stop here and take sometime to eat and chat, they are lovely.

“Almost everything was delicious, and the prices are reasonable. However, I ordered the fish tacos and the fish was overcooked, chewy and dry. The other tacos in my friend's taco platter, especially the shrimp, were delicious, the mocktails/virgin margaritas were lovely, and even the chips and salsa was good. I'd definitely go back but just skip the fish tacos.“

“Food is delicious but please inform staff when you are sending out coupons. Two weeks ago I tried ordering & asked about the coupon (15% off) I received via email & staff knew nothing. The person who answered the phone took my phone number, said they would try to find out & call me back. After 15 minutes I called & placed my order hoping by the time I picked up said order that I would have received a call back. Staff still didn’t know anything when I picked up my order.“

“My first time trying food from this place. I got a burrito with chicken. I would say it’s not as flavorful as other places make theirs. The tortilla does taste very fresh and the sauces that come in the burrito. It would be perfect if it had some kick to it and more flavor.“

“Portions were very small (Fagitas) we ordered the steak chicken and shrimp. Barely any chicken or steak but 5 skewered shrimp on top to hide the fact there wasn’t much meat in the dish. Also loaded with peppers and onions because they’re cheap. Also ordered a spicy guacamole that wasn’t spicy at all had green peppers in instead of jalapeños. Then I was charged 2.00 for a tiny container of pepper sauce to make it hot. I think the other Plaza azteca in Washington twp. Is much better and different owner because they’re franchised. Wouldn’t recommend this one at all“
