Il Ripasso

I am so sorry to learn that Il Ripasso is a casualty of Covid-19. I just loved this place. My favorite was Pork Chop Giambotta (no potatoes). I hope they resurface after the pandemic as they are talented and I would love to dine with them again! If they see this........good luck and good health. I'll miss you!

il Ripasso is one of the finest restaurants in Livingston, serving some of the freshest Italian dishes. One of the things that I find most admirable is that the restaurant doesn't try to be all things to all people, and, for the most part, it maintains the same tried-and-true dishes that have the same exceptional tastes every time. This allows the owners to control the quality of the dishes, every one prepared to perfection.

It's hard to find a BYOB, table clothed, somewhat romantic and reasonably priced Italian restaurant in the area. It is pretty intimate and tables are lit with candles. The menu has a good variety of typical Italian fare and the daily specials add some additional flavors. The veal chop special was excellent and a pasta dish was cooked al dente the way it should be.
