The burger is mid at best, but service is good and it’s a decent spot for a sports bar. There are better burgers in the area, but I’d come back to try some different dishes since the spot is clean and nice overall.
40 years ago I went here when it was a local dive bar called The Whale's Tale and then The Lakeside. The new owners gutted the place 6 years ago and made a stunning new bar and restaurant. It is now an open concept with loads of windows, a magnificent outdoor patio overlooking Deal Lake. There is plenty of parking in the back next to the RR tracks. Our server, Heather, was outstanding. Always smiling, always helpful describing the menu items. Prompt with our drink requests, taking our order, and brining the check. The food is “eh”. We had a DL burger which is called a “smash burger”. This is the third time we ordered it that it wasn't smashed. It was simply 2 medium-cooked burgers on a bun. 3rd time was NOT the charm.
