“Great food, a little pricey as dinner for 2 with a 20% tip came in just under $200 (and we brought our own wine). I had the lobster bisque and the crab cakes entree (more crab than the usual fillers you get). Wife went for the duck confit ravioli appetizer and the lollipop pork chops entree. Nice romantic atmosphere is an upgrade over the old basic Reddington's decor that was there a decade ago.”

“We placed a first-time online order. It was ready before the estimated time given. We ordered 3 large sandwiches and each could feed 2-3 people depending on the appetite.The bread had a great crustiness on the outside, while being light and fluffy inside. Tge cold cuts were thinly sliced and stacked high, just like we like them. The red potato salad was delicious!We all enjoyed our selections and will be sure to order again.”

“I had the Octopus and Calamari in a delicious broth. I enjoyed it very much. Two family members had the Scallops special and they said it was very good. The other family member had the pork chop special and he loved it. Try the muscles appetizer, it’s phenomenal!!! Our waitress was knowledgeable and very polite. The dining room is clean but a bit cramped. The place is a bit small and noisy but it was a nice meal. It’s a byob establishment, bring some wine or beer and have a good time.”

“We went to experience the famous burger. I was disappointed in the soggy bun. The onion gravy was delicious but made the bun fall apart and couldn't enjoy the cheese or the meat Maybe a harder roll would be better. The steak tartar was amazing seasoned and the parpadella small plate could eat as a meal. But the carrot cake OMG!! The BEST!! I would eat here again to get a very impressive salad and the carrot cake again!!”

I've been to hundreds of restaurants, and Spanos is the only one I have ever been to that consistently provides the best hospitality. “I’ve dinned here twice while on vacation in NJ. The food both times was absolutly delicious. The JBJ Soul seasoning is to die for. Both times I’ve ate here our server was Lisa is she is so friendly, knowledgeable and straight up phenomenal. Chef Emily cooks amazing, delicious food. Bottom line is what they do here for the local community is utterly amazing. The concept is to pay it forward so someone else who cannot afford to eat can come in and enjoy a hot meal. They recommend $25 per person, giving more if you are able is always welcome. It is truly farm to table food. They have their own farm which was donated to them. They grow their own herbs out front. They sell shirts, mugs, seasonings and yummy local honey. Every time I’m in NJ on vacation I will always make it a point to come to JBJ Soul not only for a good meal but to donate.”

“I've never had pizza that tasted like it did ever before. It was almost novel at first, the sweetness of the pie. But as I kept eating, the bites got better and better. Our large pie was finished in about 10 minutes, maybe less! And the shrimp cocktail was on point too. Was easy to get a seat at the Lima bean shaped bar. It was fun to sit like that. Overall, great experience. Next time I'm back in NJ I'll be seein y'all!”

“Let me start off w/ saying our family , friends love B2. Food is great and 98 % of the time we have a great time at B2. Unfortunately this is the second time w/ the same bartender we had a unfortunate time. Today Saturday 3/16 we simply asked if we could watch CBS the Purdue vs Wisconsin game. After fifteen minutes and zero attention from him my girlfriend asked if he could put the game on CBS again please… We were told “Listen I have a full bar I’m too busy”. The way that was handled was totally inappropriate and rude we are very kind people who live locally and simply just wanted to watch a basketball game at a bar at lunch time. After this happened he made it a point to pay zero attention to us. Luckily the other bartender noticed and made it a point to serve us. We stayed for one drink after this happened and called it a day at B2. Unfortunately this was the second time this guy has made us feel uncomfortable and has been very disrespectful and we will not be coming back to b2 anytime soon.Updated 3/25 - Eric thank you for reaching out and taking the time to talk. Very kind and very professional and it goes a long way after we had a little bit of an unfortunate time at B2 few weeks back. Great environment, friendly bartenders who work hard to keep the place clean and comfortable, and great tasting fresh beer make this one of our go-to's. “Phenomenal sandwiches and other italian fare. Fried ravioli are must-trys. The sandwich selection is HUGE, and you can have them make any sandwich you like. I had the Mel Brooks (pastrami, corned beef, swiss, cole slaw, Russian dressing) on a panini. Absolutely delicious. Needed about five napkins as it was so juicy and savory. Will be coming back repeatedly and will try the italian egg rolls next time.”
