“Never a bad meal. Enormous menu that could scare off most patrons but everything I’ve tried has been great. It’s amazing how a place can achieve such consistency with so many items on menu but they pull it off. Sandwiches, bbq, wings, cutlets, everything is delicious. Wonderful service too.“

“I traveled from Atlanta to Union Steaks, and it was worth it! Perfectly located by the Philadelphia United arena, the cheese steaks are among the best in the area. “Really good meal at dining under the stars tonight! We sat outside and had lamb meatballs, tuna tataki and their soup of the day which was a creamy asparagus soup... all were delicious, especially the lamb meatballs. Great Mediterranean flavors with 3 different sauces that all hit perfectly. Entrees were a smash burger (two patties), the two fourteen burger, which was huge and the kimchi fried rice with grilled chicken, which had a great spice to it. Not too casual, not too high-end, service was great, we will definitely be back.“

“We have been regulars here over the past 12 months. Their food is always delicious. Excellent & consistent wait staff! That is super hard to find & keep. Great Happy Hour..never had a meal we weren't pleased with. That said, during our most recent experience, the entire place smelled like old frying oil as soon as we entered. It was to the point that we had to change clothes when we got home. Hopefully it is an isolated experience. Thus the 4 stars. Hopefully won't experience that in the future“

“Finally, Swarthmore finally has a first class restaurant! The Village Vine is under new management/chef and it is wonderful. The original owners were more interested in having a good wine bar and the food suffered. Give them a try. You'll like it!“

“Very nice and kind of rustic inside with the brick walls and table legs made out of old piping. Nice brick oven pizza oven makes the pizza extra special. The server made a delicious raspberry iced tea which wasn't in the menu just because I ask. She was phenomenal never complained ran back fourth for my son who can be very indecisive. She just went with the flow she was very kind & my son felt extremely special yesterday they even wrote notes on the table for my son which made the dinner even more amazing. Lots of restaurants isnt was austism friendly but Ridley House is!!! The noise wasn't loud, my son stems a lot he had about 14 straws lol it's something that comes with is autism but heather never made it a issue or made us feel uncomfortable. “Was looking to treat myself for breakfast. Since I wanted to do some shopping in the Aston area, I decided to give this place a try. (First thing to note, GPS directions were incorrect! Kept telling me to turn left at intersection, but it's actually on the right) Once inside, I was seated right away. Counter was empty seating. I ordered bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, toast and coffee. Coffee was drinkable. (Would give it another try before saying I don't like it) toast was prepared perfectly and they put butter on it for you. Eggs and bacon were great and you get 4pcs. Grits were another story. They were too runny. Restaurants need to know if you are going to sell grits please take the time to properly prepare them or remove it from your menu altogether. Nothing worse than grits being cooked inconsistently. A customer next to me ordered hash brown potatoes and they were burnt on the outside and not cooked in inside. He asked for another serving and when it was brought back out, there was no difference. Waitress said, "I guess they are just not going to properly cook these no matter what." Atmosphere was friendly and not loud. I would definitely go again as they serve more than breakfast items. Perhaps breakfast food may not be their strong suit OR the cooks were just having an off day. I would also like to mention my waitress Stacey(Stacy) was a gem. He had called ahead to ask about if the had oysters or clams on the half shell and about my food allergy because I am highly allergic to any nut. We were warmly greeted and our waitress came by to take our order.. My friend asked about what beers they had. As soon as the waitress said they have Miller High Life in a bottle my friend was in heaven. My friend had calms on the half shell and a bowl of snapper soup and his main dish was a seafood platter.
