Wonderful open space dining room with great views of the sunset over the meadows. Server was prompt and professional and the food was excellent. In all, a very enjoyable dining experience.
Went 9/28 Saturday night , way understaffed. The food was served warm at best and dried, probally sitting under the warmers . Suggestion to owner , when your understaffed ( it happens) stop seating people , only seat what you can handle.
We dropped in for a drink and had Urie as a bartender. What a delight. He was friendly knowledgeable and made great drinks. Especially the pumpkin nog. La Barca needs to keep him around!!!!!
LaBarca is a restaurant with a sterile atmosphere, lacking in decor and ambiance. The dining area is large but empty, with white walls and no greenery or flowers. However, the chef shines with outstanding dishes, including the pesto aoili dip, fresh oysters, lobster gnocchi, seafood risotto, savory salmon, and 5-star Chilean bass. The tiramisu is also one of the best around. Some diners have experienced issues with overcooked dishes, such as shrimp, and risotto with little crab. The watermelon salad has outstanding flavor. The complimentary bread and olive oil plate is exceptional, full of spices and flavor. The atmosphere is upscale and the view of the marina is spectacular. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. The bartender was a delight, friendly, knowledgeable and made great drinks. LaBarca has a great happy hour menu and is a good spot to watch games. Some diners have experienced the food served warm at best and dried. LaBarca needs to keep its good staff around.
