The relocated Starbucks in Madison has significant and ongoing management problems. Example: I ordered a latte and the manager said it would be 5 minutes. There were 6 people standing near the pick-up counter when I got there. The same 6, plus an additional 2, were there when I left. There were also a few cars waiting for drive-through service. I realized my last review about the drive thru being closed is a bit unfair to staff so I would like to apologize for that. Please be patient with the staff at this location. They're doing the best they can while clearly being understaffed with such high demand. The reason for the drive thru being almost permanently closed is clearly due to an understaffing issue. I'm not sure what happened to this Starbucks, but they have certainly gone downhill. Gone are the days of greeting your guests, or smiling even, which has been replaced by them talking amongst themselves and you feeling like an inconvenience for "interrupting" them. The drive thru is never open- but you can still place a drive thru order on the app- and you have to drive around the building to find out because the sign is still lit.
