The fact it was served already cut, apparently was the first clue to be prepared, this may take a minute. Flavor was better, but still needed to ask for s&p. Whipped potatoes amazing! French Onion soup as well. Rib appetizer out of this world! Don't buy the chicken nuggets although the presentation basket was a nostalgic touch. Macncheese side was incredible! Recommend the Wood-double Bourbon.“
“We always have a great dining experience at Sycamore Grill. It's a small restaurant and sitting is limited during the winter, but they do offer outdoor seating during the rest of the year. Food is delicious. They do seem to change their menu around some times. Loved the Reubens they had, but they are no longer on the menu. Fortunately their French Onion Soup is still on it! I get it every time I go! I really enjoyed the Nachos and the Tuna Tower. The burgers are fantastic too! Our waitress our last visit was so attentive and nice.“
“Another amazing meal at our regular date night spot. We had the pleasure of having Mark as our waiter- he's new to the staff but an excellent addition! Johnathan was training him and also did an awesome job of stepping back and letting Mark take the lead and jumping in if needed. He paid great attention to detail with everything we ordered. Our drinks, and our food came the way we asked for them. “We had the chef’s tasting menu and the food was delicious. They adjusted dishes due to dietary preferences or restrictions and we really appreciated this. The service was the most personal and professional I’ve ever had and I have eaten at Michelin restaurants before. “Originally a blacksmith shop and inn before turning into a tavern with the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. I may have been thrown out of here, several times. This bar is proudly #14 on NJ.com's Best Dive Bars list. I really like this place, wish it was closer to home. We used to find it by the giant satellite dish they had outside. I once tried to kiss a girl who worked here. She was so horrified she ran into the street. "Nooo..." Good times. Recently renovated before Covid. Bar top is lacquered plywood with a knotty pine fascia and walls. No foot rail but the floor is burnished (scorched) plywood. Stools are metal frame backed with cushion seats. Open 11AM to 2AM. “We enjoyed our Valentine's Day lunch at Tommy's. Inn.recently opened at his new location. I had a chicken quesadilla and a side salad of mixed greens and my sweetie had a bacon burger a fries. Very good and reasonably priced. Thanks Tommy!! We'll be back.“
“This was my first visit here, and it will not be the last. My daughter-in-law suggested meeting here, and I'm so glad we did. This is such a beautiful hidden gem, and there's not one negative thing to say. “We stayed here so we could go to Six Flags. Really nice people and great customer service ! The front desk was very accommodating and helpful and the restaurant/ bar personnel were extremely sweet! Not many options to eat but what we had was actually fresh and surprisingly good for a small hotel. Free parking and laundry room were a big plus. Very quiet neighborhood and some weddings were happening while we stayed but I basically heard no noise from guests or was bothered by loud music. Really recommend!“
“Had my daughters first birthday party here after looking at multiple other restaurants. This restaurant had the nicest party room and the food was delicious. The day of the party, I was able to come early to decorate and set up. The owner and his family were very kind and helped set up the room and accommodated our requests.They continually checked in throughout the event to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. The waitresses made sure we had enough food and the kids were all given kids meals which they loved. My guests raved about the chicken francese and baked clams.It was a great day and I felt very at peace knowing how helpful staff was and didn't have to worry about the party going smoothly.
