“This is one of our favorites, a jewel on the main drag in Manasquan. Pork roll, egg and cheese on brioche with a side of waffle fries.....c'mon, it doesn't get much better. And this is Jersey, so it's real pork roll and the Pig does it right. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, try the croque madame. It's the best grilled ham and cheese you've ever had, bathed in mornay sauce (known as fancy cheese sauce to the simpler, pork roll folk like me). But if you go that route you may want to share. And the coffee, brought to your table in a thermos, is great. Cool little place, great people and all part of the scene in downtown Manasquan - so you can walk off some of those calories after.“
“I am so happy to have found such a great place to grab lunch at! They offer so many gluten free options and also understand allergies which is amazing! I work in the area and I was so hungry and wanted something easy. So I went in and got a Greek hummus wrap on GF wrap. It was amazing! I also learned they do catering and all gluten free as well. I can’t wait to go back! The wrap I had was super delicious and fresh. I can’t wait to try more food from here!Dietary restrictions: Gluten and vegan“
“Me and my son (also Brendan but different last name.. long legal battle, believe me don't ask) spend quality time at the seagull on weekend mornings during the summer. If Daddy is brutally hungover he makes inappropriate Sandy Seagull jokes that go over his son's head and orders the delicious egg and cheese on a roll accompanied by the ever famous NJ rip off of Canadian Bacon... pork roll. Sometimes my pain in the tuchus son shares a morsel of learned values he derived from the $30k a year prep school in Upper Manhattan his entitled mother insisted we send him to and demands i order an Avocado toast, which I must regress and admit is quite tasty if you add lemon and hot sauce. After my son relentlessly whimpers he deserves an ice cream at 9 am I usually give in and grab myself an extra caffeinated Big Easy cold brew to gain energy for the inevitable verbal lashing my sea hag of a wife will give me upon arriving at the beach for allowing him to eat ice cream before noon. At this point I usually point out he's 17 years old and leave the beach and return for my second pork roll sandwich (must buy here, hard to come by in Coastal NJ). Also should be noted if you're taking Ocean Avenue do not play Yellowcard in the presence of the house behind the seagull, as "Linda" (presumed owner or squatter) will chase you down her porch and attempt to sweep you out of " her neighborhood ". Additionally, she dislikes snapchat.“
“While I no longer live in New Jersey, every time I visit my family, I try to stop by The Buttered Biscuit. It is truly one of my top 5 brunch experiences in the country, and I’ve had a lot of brunch experiences in my life. It’s always busy and humming with energy. The benedicts are divine, the coffee is incredible, and the biscuits are absolute heaven. Highly recommend a visit. It’s worth the wait!“
“I love coming here to read or get some work done, but also love coming with my husband for breakfast or lunch. Everything from the atmosphere to the quality of food is impeccable. Have an espresso, read a book, and try one of their outstanding sandwiches. A true local treasure ♥️“
“GREAT place to eat!!! I would give it 6 stars if I could. Found Ram Cafe because it was close to my home in Ramtown, and am very glad that I did! Everything I have tried so far is delicious, and the menu has plenty of dietary-conscious foods, which I like. I even tried their 1/2 lb cheeseburger & fries one time on my "cheat day" and it was just superb, every bite was perfection. This is a "can't miss" kinda place if you're ever in the area!!“
“From the moment my amazing girlfriend and I walked into this quaint cafe, we fell in love with the vibes, decor, smells and more so, the people. They were so accommodating. They walked us through it all and ended up with the best breakfast. We're from Chicago and this place hit the spot! Cheers, Lava Java House ☕️“
“Very cool and hip breakfast and brunch spot that really experiments with traditional favorites. The chicken and waffles provide a level of comfort that only real comfort food can provide. The brisket sandwich is flavourful, but you can end up with too much gristle. The coffee options are excellent and tasty. A hint of cinnamon or nutmeg, depending on the drink, really makes the beverage something special. Service is generally good, but some servers are more genial than others. Outdoor seating is a great option when temps climb above 60 degrees.“
“We have driven passed Capsized Cafe many times, without turning in. Talk about missing the boat! We were looking for a fresh take on breakfast, out, and when we did the Google thing...up popped this eatery.Read many of the glowing reviews and headed over to try it for ourselves. Glad we did. Coupled with great food and super pleasant staff, the atmosphere has that 1950s and '60s eclectic shore coolness.Go there! If not today then go soon.“
“A plant oasis that happens to also be a coffee shop. This place is filled with plants from every nook and cranny it has to offer. Along with all the plants they sell a bunch of other little items local places/people have made. I ordered the coco matcha and it was splendidly piping hot. It felt so warming as I drank it on this cold day. This place has pastries and toast items available to eat. I would say don't plan on trying to work or eat here. There is only one table in the front of the room and then a bench along the one wall.“
