A quintessential dive. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon for lunch after hearing their hot wings are highly-regarded.
Bartender was very friendly, recommending a great IPA on tap. I ordered the hot wings and a side of fried pickles, both came out fresh and the staff were great.
I’d absolutely come back again, and recommend Jay’s to those looking for a cozy, no frills dive bar.

Jay's Elbow Room is a cozy bar with a lively atmosphere and a diverse crowd. It is a chill little dive bar that feels like a place created over years of experience, with friendly people and a relaxed vibe. The bar offers a wide selection of over 100 craft beers, including many in cans and bottles, although some are served in smaller glasses. The food menu features delicious options such as crispy and flavorful wings with medium Buffalo sauce, as well as cheesesteak fries topped with a cheesesteak served over waffle fries. The outdoor seating area is elevated and well-lit at night, with covers ready to be lowered if it rains or snows. Customers can enjoy takeout beer from the "TO GO" cooler until 2 AM. The chairs are flimsy but allow for stretching, and the wood floor looks beautiful. The bar has an enclosed smoking room with tables and chairs, and there is only one entry door, with the other always locked for security. It is open until 3 AM, making it a popular spot for late-night food and drinks, especially among local food service workers. The bar also features a great pool table and has a friendly, welcoming staff.
