Bar staff and owners are very friendly and courteous. If you enjoy shooting pool they have two tables. Venue caters to all ages. Juke Box, Foosball, pinball Arcade games, pool tables, stage for bands, DJ booth, dance floor, cocktails and good affordable food. This bar is newer and just getting started in SJ but getting ready to explode and compete with all the top sports bars in the area. Easily located and plenty of parking. We went there for the first time tonight after shopping at Wegman's. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and waited less than 2 minutes for a table.

Once seated, our server, Kevin, came over almost immediately. He was friendly, genuine, and had a lovely personality, which made us feel comfortable enough to joke around with him. We ordered our drinks, and they arrived just as quickly. Throughout the evening, Kevin was attentive and professional. At one point, one of the managers, Allen, came by to check on us—a gesture I haven't experienced before and one that really sets the bar high for other establishments. Allen was charming and had a positive aura that made the atmosphere even nicer.

Now, let's talk about the food—it was fantastic! I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Martini, and my husband chose the Blood Orange Manhattan; both were divine. We started with the nachos topped with chicken, and they were incredibly tasty—perfectly stacked with no soggy chips and just the right portion size. We devoured them!

For my main course, I had an arugula salad with blackened chicken, which was not only delicious but also a perfect portion. They offer various styles of chicken—grilled, breaded, blackened, etc. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad on the side. Again, it was delicious and appropriately sized; the side Caesar wasn't a small serving but a proper side dish. Our toddler wanted pasta with butter, and they kindly accommodated her request. We just needed to ask for more butter since it was a bit dry, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and not steaming hot, so she could eat it right away.

The prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun—not too dark, with plenty of televisions around. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated, and I loved that there was a full-length mirror. They even have a family restroom complete with a changing station. My husband didn't check the men's bathroom, so I can't speak to whether it has a changing station, but no biggie since they have the family washroom. I also like that we are able to see everything from wherever we were seated.

Overall, I give this place five stars without hesitation. Be sure to ask for Kevin as your server—he's fantastic—and don't forget to say hi to Allen!“

Food quality here goes crazy compared to any other Applebee's I've been to, servers are super helpful and friendly, and they never question how much ranch you ask for. “Rebecca was my waitress. Great service—even though the place was packed and she basically got sat 7 tables at once. Good food, great service. I’ve been to PJ before—just not this location. It didn’t disappoint. She seemed happy when I asked for the check and it came time for the gratuity. :) Grabbed the manager on the walk out and let him know how good the service was. “I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

Our waitress was the cutest, and when she found out it was for my mother's day, she took an extra effort to write it on our check. Her name is Mackenzie, she was sweet, on point, and gave us her all. “This past weekend, after my son’s first penance, a group of us wanted to go grab lunch. After an unfortunate experience somewhere else we called Dooney’s to see if they could accommodate a party of 17 last minute, and they said of course. Half of our party was kids 7 and under. I'm not a big fan of the prices getting higher though. I remember 2 for 20.... now I see 2 for 32.

The lighting has a bit of a romantic feel above the tables but I struggle to see the menu sometimes. Maybe it's just me.
