Food was good. About $50 per person. Food delivery to the table was a problem. Waitress tried but, manager was dismissive and slightly rude.

Food is inconsistent, but generally good. They also charge me wrong every time I go. Not sure if this is deliberate, but check your bill!

Watery pizza and super over priced for all the hype. Dave Portnoy where you at. Maplewood Nj is for sure a place to stay away from when it comes to pizza. Can’t even eat the crust majority burnt smh. Servers and kitchen staff not on point. Again poor training to see something like this delivered to the table. Turned into a Plate of soup and made sure to bring it to their attention. Came For a visit and what a waste of time and money.

This is a great place for lunch or dinner. No reservations taken so you have to wait. This place knows how to make bread. Their pizza was amazing! The prosciutto sandwich was more like a panini however great also! Their pastries are so flaky and fresh. The meatball appie with a dab of ricotta was outstanding. Will definitely return to try more!

Can’t hear the waiters speaking
The ambient noise is echoing and makes for a chaotic experience

I used to love getting pizza from Arturo's in Maplewood Village. Maplewood Village has several pizzerias, but Arturo's thin crust pizza was always a favorite of mine.

I was glad Arturo's was still around and visited them tonight in their new Maplewood location on Newark Street, near Hilton Branch Library and the Maplewood Police Station. The restaurant renamed Artie's has a bar with wine and fancy cocktails, and is in a much larger space. The menu still has a nice selection of pizzas, pastas and salads and in addition lots of breakfast and bread items which are available in the morning, as well as throughout the day.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the noise level was very high. Arturo's was always packed but I was able to have a conversation. Tonight's dinner was excessively loud I thought, but that isn't a bad thing, because it means that business is good. Will return.

Kid-friendliness: The cafeteria-style seating is kid friendly. We didn't ask for a high chair for the baby, but there were multiple groups with children who came in and out.

Went to Arties’s this morning to grab a coffee and do some work. As I was about to take a seat at an open table, the hostess said I could only sit by the window counter, because they were starting their lunch service soon (this happened at 10:10am). However, there was sun shining directly onto that area. Mind you, every other table in the dining room was taken by people doing exactly what I wanted to do, which was to have a coffee and work on a laptop. When I asked the hostess why everybody else was allowed to grab a table without sun shining directly into their face but I wasn’t, she said it’s because those people got there at nine.

So if you want to have a coffee and work at Artie’s, I recommend you get there right at nine otherwise you have to sit staring directly into the sun, even though other tables might be available. It’s a shame because their food is excellent, but they seem to be getting a little too high on their own supply and don’t treat customers the way they used to.

The pizza was great! Should have tried the meatballs looked great. The server should have checked back after we were eating.
