Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. This bakery is as good as it gets. I ordered cakes for a birthday celebration. Women, men, and children asked me where the cakes are from. Pastry Lu is full of decadent desserts. The flavors in each bite and layer are incredible. Each bite is like a party in your mouth!!! I ordered the chocolate cake, vanilla chocolate maple banana walnut cake, pineapple carrot cake. They were absolutely delicious. They are all full of flavor, yet not too sweet. THE BEST CAKES I HAVE EVER HAD!

The desserts and coffee at Pastry Lu are absolutely delicious and high quality. Over Thanksgiving, I enjoyed their apple pie which was magnificent and addictive. They always welcome you with a polite smile and when you look at all their desserts and pastries, you have to take your time because it’s hard to choose.
